Welcome to the second category of The Milkies!
Whether you’re committed or single as a Pringle, a good K-drama couple can stay with you forever. Over the years, I’ve gotten so invested in certain couples, I’d be offended if I wasn’t an honorary aunt to their fictional child. (V – LOL 😂)
2020 gave us some phenomenal couples, so this might be one of the harder categories to vote in, but nevertheless vote for your favorite couple below. Vote for the one that made you light-headed; the one that made you squeal loud enough to wake up your family. Vote for the couple that made you cry, and most importantly the one that made you believe in love again.
Before I get any mushier, I have to say Ri Jung-hyuk and Yoon Se-ri from Crash Landing On You did all of the above for me. Their relationship was beautiful and healthy. I also liked Moon Gang-tae and Go Moon-young (It’s Okay To Not Be Okay) which is funny, because they’re almost the opposite of Captain Ri and Se-ri. Their relationship didn’t start off healthy, but I loved seeing them work through their childhood traumas to become the family each other needed. It’s not a dynamic I’m usually into, but it worked for this drama.
After deliberating, cast your vote below and tell us what the couple you chose means to you. Remember you have until midnight on January 5th (American Eastern Standard Time) to vote. Make sure you vote for the best K-drama villain as well. We’ve already gotten over 160 votes! The winners will be announced on January 7th.
This is soooo hard because there are five dramas where I absolutely loved the couple! Crash Landing on You, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, Flower of Evil, Hyena, and When the Weather is Fine could all potentially get my vote. Argh, it’s so tough but I feel like I might have to give it to Hyena? Or maybe Crash Landing on You? Or maybe Flower of Evil because homeboy went through a lot to protect that love. Ugh, Imma just pick one. Eenie meenie minie moe

Yeah, it was realllllyyy hard! I loved Hee-jae and Geum-ja as well. There were just some really good/interesting relationships depicted this year. It was a good year for dramas indeed.
I pretty much agree with your thoughts on CLOY and IOTNBO.
But my favorite has to be Into the Ring. Pretty much entirely because they made me laugh. Plus, it aired just as this year really started getting to my head. Those were much needed laughs.

From the little I heard about it, I did hear it was a funny show. It’s awesome that the laughs were able to help you endure the pandemic <3
As much I love CLOY and every character and relationship in it, I voted for Han Jae-hyun + Yoon Ji-soo (When My Love Blooms). I know that couple is not going to win but I love the chemistry of the two. It’s quite unique and different than others. The acting of the two actors were also a big part of my vote.

I heard it was a beautiful drama. And Yoo Ji-tae and Lee Bo-young are fantastic actors. Part of the reason I liked “I Can Hear Your Voice” so much is because of Lee Bo-young’s performance.
Thanks! I added that to my watch list. I am surprised that Viki has it. It’s a 2013 drama and often times I can’t find the older dramas online.

It’s got its flaws, but it’s good 🙂 Hope you enjoy.
Flower of Evil has THAT couple! An unfaded love even going stronger after 14 years of marriage. Moreover, lee joon gi and moin chae won’s chemistry is over the top, i wish they get married in real life, LOL.

They went through A LOT. Props to them! Since Hyun bin and Ye jin from Crash Landing are dating, maybe Joon gi and Chae won will be next hahaha.
it’s okay to not be okay <3 their chemistry was on fire and same goes for kissing scenes 😏
my 2nd fave couple is flower of evil, and the rest are miles behind them. imo ofc 🙂
