If you are looking to sink into a woman surrounded by men drama then When When the Camellia Blooms might be for you. At least I think it is because a lot has not been revealed about it yet. When the Camelia Blooms is about a woman named Dong-baek (played by Gong Hyo-jin) who gets involved with three men representing a good man, a bad man, and a Darcy type man (whom is actually described as a mean man, but I’m going with Darcy).

Kang Haneul is one of these men, though I don’t know which one yet. Hopefully he takes up a substantial part of the narrative because I loved him in Misaeng and would love to see his acting chops a bit more. He was in a thriller-horror type movie that I did not see (because horror is really not my thing) but now I want to watch it just to see him act a bit more. And, as mentioned in this post, tis-ish the season for horror. He was also in Midnight Runners which I heard was a pretty fun watch. Then he went to the military for two years and now he’s back, yay!

However, the main reason I am excited for When the Camellia Blooms is because it is the first outing from the Fight for My Way writer after Fight for My Way wrapped. Fight for My Way was straight up magical in the opening episodes. It had some issues in the last few episodes that made me ragey, but the opening was strong enough for it to keep its spot as a favorite drama of 2017. If it didn’t have those issues in the end then it might have been in one of my top five overall.

So, my hope is that the writer takes all that worked from FFMW and puts it into When the Camellia Blooms with some additional sprinkles of magic on top! That is actually my hope for every project that is ever announced ever. Though this production team needs to get chopping because there is barely any data out on this drama that I can get my hands on. Hopefully at least a teaser drops soon-ish because this show is supposed to premiere in just a few weeks, eep!

When the Camellia Blooms is set to premiere on KBS2 sometime in September on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 22:00 KST.

If you mean the movie Forgotten, then i highly recommend it. It’s not scary at all. I hate horror and also mystical if it has a creepy element to it.

OMG, I need to check it out then! I saw the posters and saw a tiny bit of the trailer and was like, nope nope nope. But if you say it isn’t scary at all, then maybe I can give it a shot.

It’s more suspenseful. I could tell you about the scene in the trailer that SEEMS creepy but that would give away key plot points. I can say that it’s nothing supernatural.
