With so many dramas airing right now, I thought it’d be fun to see which one people would crown as the best. I also thought I could guess which drama would win, but this is just proof that these polls are unpredictable (and exciting).
We got a total of 166 votes from all over the world, and out of the 11 dramas listed, the Drama Milk community voted Law School as #1 with 32 votes! It was a very close race though. Bossam: Steal the Fate came in at #2 with 29 votes and Doom At Your Service grabbed the third spot with 27. Only two or three votes separated each drama, so it could’ve been anyone’s game. I did think Bossam: Steal the Fate was going to win just because I’ve heard so much about it. Second place still means it’s wildly popular though.

What do you guys think? Did one of your faves make it into the top 3?
(Please keep in mind that there are certain dramas that didn’t make it onto the poll, because they only had one or two episodes out at the time the poll was being made. If they didn’t make it onto this poll, they will most likely be part of the Milky Awards at the end of the year).
Bossam was my favorite and definitely Law School is right up there as well. However, the mature romance in Bossam is such a delight.
May I suggest you do one with worst or least favorite drama. I would suggest, Oh Master and #1 Love (ft. Marriage divorce). I can’t believe this got a second season and a possible 3rd. I guess there is so much hate for the show but people still are drawn to it just so we can say how horrible it is. Well, at least for me. I do save myself some heartburn by fast forwarding.

I heard Oh Master was a catastrophe, which is so sad, because people started off delighted by it.
Yay for Bossam – the underground powerhouse sageuk of 2021. It is very interesting that your site is polling for best drama right now. This indicates, to me, that Kdrama is in a period of transition. Just jumping onboard the zombie train or the fantasy/demon possession trope or the fusion sageuk junk – not to mention standard office romcoms and college first loves – will no longer make the cut. The bedrock foundation is good writing – say it loud. All the hype, money, big names and cool CG won’t save a weak script (Sisyphus). Will COVID separate the wheat from the chaff?

Agreed! Hopefully the industry will see that the audience appreciates interesting stories and will invest more in their screen writers, and not just CGI and hiring big names. This drama-watching generation is pretty intelligent.
The top 5 are all great shows and deserve the top spots. I haven’t watched Law School, but that’s just I don’t need to process the serious court and law related contents because my busy work at the moment.
I have a question with the result – on the bar chart on the left, Bossam looks to have a bigger bar than Law School, yet the number of Law School is higher. 🙁
It’s somewhat challenging to vote on shows that are still on air. I expect some of them are slow developing and some others have had a lot of twists and the ups and downs. As you know, I am a huge Bossam fan, I think they will continue to have some interesting story development to keep us hooked until the end. 🙂
Good catch, WPB. the bar for Law School seems the same size as the 4th drama I married my antifan.

You’re right! I’m not sure why the percentage and number of votes for Law School is higher, but the bar is lower. I’m not sure if it’s the way I had it filtered, but I’ll have to check it out. I didn’t even notice.
True. Looking at the chart it would seem that Bossam won first place.
Aaah Kdrama hangover! I still can’t get over Law School. So happy it placed #1 on the poll! Genuinely surprised, though. Haha
I love “My Roommate is a Gumiho” – Hyeri is so sweet, beautiful, kind funny, Jang Ki Yong is seriously handsome… in this and all other supporting casts do not disappoint. Highly recommend it!
