But then he met Yuri and fell into all kinds of other types of messy love that he has never experienced before that made him turn stupid. But you still have your responsibilities, bro! Love should have brought your a$$ home last night! One slap, just one really hard Halle-Berry-in-Boomerang slap, Jung-sun, you can give him that. He’s earned it.

JULY 2008

Yuri’s mom is cleaning the dishes. Yuri comes back home from school and drops in front of the fan because it is so hot outside. Her mom comes up and gives her a big hug and they both smile as the mo fans Yuri because it is so hot outside.

Her mom apologizes for having a bad mom and living in a house without air-conditioning. Yuri says if she had to choose living in a house with air-conditioning without mom and living with mom without air-conditioning then she would pick the later.

Her mom hugs her and Yuri complains about the hug and how she is too hot and sweaty for that.

That night, she cuddles with her mother to sleep.

Cut to the present where she is watching her mother being cremated and crying her eyes out. Sung-joon is by her side and holds her hand on the bus ride from the funeral. She rests her head on him.

In her house, Jung-sun has movers pack up all the baby things, except she takes off the cribs mobile and keeps it with her.

When the movers are done, she sits in the empty room with the mobile. Then she stands up empty handed to leave and closes the door on the baby room.

TITLE: BLIND SIDE (Korean: BLIND SPOT)

Sung-joon drives Yuri to work. He asks her why she just does not stay home to rest. Yuri sys that if she is home then she will think about it more. She also tells him to drop her off a bit away so that people won’t see them together.

He drops her off at the side of the road and gives her an umbrella for all the rain. She pleasantly takes it and walks tot he building.

When she gets to work, Mina and Hyun-ah asks how the funeral was. She says that it was okay. Jung-sun sees her umbrella and recognizes it. She does everything in her power not to react as Yuri goes to her seat.

CEO

Cut to the new CEO, the sister. She tells all the men in the room (there are like 30 or 40 of them) that she is here not as the chairman’s daughter, but as the CEO. All the men clap.

The chairman says that she has proven herself outside, so trust her and support her.

After the meeting, she talks to her brother, Jae-woong outside who asks he when she returned to Korea. She smiles and starts to shake several of the mens hands outside. The men are happy to shake her hand and converse with her a bit.

She tells them to come to come to her office sometime and they can have tea together. Then she pats her brother on the shoulder and walks off.

Sung-joon starts to walk off with them too. But one of the guys stops him and asks, if he is on the VP’s line? Your wife got relocated. Jung-sun did not know this and goes to the VPs office to see if it is true.

He tells the VP that she is the victim, please reconsider sending her to Ulsan. Then the secretary tells someone, You can’t come in! But Jung-sun goes inside anyway and stands in front of the VP.

JS – I heard that you are sending me to Ulsan.

VP – Hey, you are crossing the line. You are not the person who can matter in my authority

JS – Yes, I know that well. But just in case you are sending me to Ulsan just because Sung Jung and Yuri’s affair, then I have something to tell you. If you made me a sacrifice to cover up their affair, I am not going to let that happen. I am going to make everything public.

VP – Then you will be damaged.

JS – I lost a lot already, I have nothing else to lose so I have no fear. I know one thing for sure. You will lose more than me if everyone talks about it.

VP – Are you threatening me?

JS – No, I am protecting myself. Think about it carefully.

She leaves as strongly as she came in. Sung-joon looks stunned. The VP tells him that he has chosen him. All choices have costs. You should choose your own.

In another area, Min tells Hyun-ah that she recorded the video at the Tifoné event. Hyun-ah asks if Bae asked her to? She says yes, she did not know that he would use it for that purpose. She knew it was wrong from the begining and should not have done it.

Hyun-ah gives her a tissue. Mina says that last night she went to see Executive Baek…

Cut to the CEO’s fabulous anthropologie looking office. She is talking to someone who tells her that the VP put all his person’s on the VIP team. That is a very important team here. But after Sung-joon became executive, the general manager position is empty now.

She asks if he is talking about Park Sung-joon? Jae-woong’s right hand man? The man says yes, but it seems like their relationship is strained. Perhaps something happened between them.

The noona wonders what happened. So the man says that he will look into it. She smiles and takes a drink of tea.

Elsewhere, Hyun-ah sees Mina bowing to Bae in the hallway. He whispers something to her and then walks off. Mina looks worried and leaves. hyun-ah looks pissed.

Later on that night, Hyun-ah and Jung-sun talk about how they didn’t think they would be like this ten years ago. Then Hyun-ah asks how Jung-sun is and if it is difficult to see her in the office.

Jung-sun tells her that she thinks they are dating again. Hyun-ah calls them crazy people. Jung-sun says that she is destroyed like this. Are they happy? I hope they are all destroyed.

Then she asks Hyun-ah to tell her what happened. You said you had to tell me something?

Cut to Mina cleaning up all the kids things and yelling at her kids that they should clean or they will not have dinner! her husband comes to her side and says that he made dinner for them. If those kids don’t clean up then they don’t need to eat dinner. They will learn after being hungry for a day. So come on, lets eat together.

He made a really nice looking meal and even makes her a smoothy for her pregnancy to drink. She tells him that it tastes good. he tells her that he is good at cooking. If he knew this in advance then he would have been a star chef.

Then he sits and starts to eat with Mina. He tells her that he is happy to eat dinner with her. Their kids are in the background cleaning up. He also asks her what she is going to do with Executive Bae?

Cut to Hyun-ah in the office thinking deeply about something. Then she opens her phone and goes to “Behind Workers” app. On that app, she leaves a message.

MORNING

Hyun-ah walks with purpose up the hallway to the elevators looking fabulous. Everyone looks at her.

In Young-woong’s office, he tells Bae that they got this message. Then he throws his phone at him. On the phone, is a message that says that Hyun-ah is a victim of Director Bae’s sexual assault attempt. One year ago in a hotel he tried to sexually assault me. 

Everyone sees this message.

OCTOBER 2018

Hyun-ah drinks with Bae and General Manager Ha while in a private room in a restaurant. She tries to keep up with their drinking and the mood looks comfortable.

Bae tells Young-woong that he is not just bringing anyone to work with them.

Later on, Hyun-ah tries to handle all the liquor and then goes back to work.

VO – I thought I was doing a good job back then.

In the flashback, Hyun-ah alks to Bae on the phone and asks where he is, she brought the document he requested. But she looks nervous when he actually says where he is.

She goes to his location which is in a hotel looking room. Perhaps a business suite. She gives him the documents and asks where his person is. He tells her to sit down and that his person is delayed.

He tries to pour her drinks, she says that she drove today. He tells her she can call a driver and sits a bit closer to her. She gets up to leave. He pulls her back down. She tells him that he has a misunderstanding.

She tries to ge away but he pulls her down on the bed and start s groping her as she struggles to get away and tells him to stop. Then she cracks a glass over his head which knocks him out momentarily and runs out of the room after that.

VO – After that happened, I wanted to turn Executive Bae in, but I was scared. So I decided to run away. The reason I am revealing this is because after one year passed I heard about another sexual harrassment victim was in the office. The past one year was like hell to me. Ii think the other victims time will be the same. I can’t let it happen again so I am revealing this.

Jin-ho runs to the office and looks in on Hyun-ah, but he does not go inside the office.

Ji-young comes to the office and is so upset that she did not tell her, she starts to cry.

In Young-woong’s office, he asks Bae what he is going to do? Bae says it is not true. She wanted to get promoted and approached me and failed. But Young-woong yells at him and says that they cannot have this kind of scandal in this kind of situation!

Bae says that he will prove his innocence. He storms out and thinks for a moment, then gets out his phone.

In his offie area, Jin-ho thinks about comforting his wife in the women’s club. He starts to write something.

In the Executives meting, all the men talk about this event to the new CEO. The men all think it was one-sided revenge after not getting promoted. But the CEO says that they need to see what happens, just in case they are in too much of a hurry to put out the fire. That can cause a larger fire.

She ends the meeting and then asks to see Sung-joon privately. The VP looks concerned.

The CEO meets with him and says that she heard that Hyun-ah wanted to quit her job one year ago, but you put her in a one year hiatus based on your own decision. Did you know about this? 

He says yes.

She asks, back then, did you stop manager Lee from talking about it publically?

He says no, Manager Lee did not want to make it public.

She asks, why don’t you talk to manager Lee? This is already in the media so it is a big headache for us. You know manager Lee, so can you persuade her before this situation gets too big?

Sung-joon tells her that she should be courageous to make this decision so I think my job now is to support her, sorry.

The CEO tells him that the executive of the company works for the company, not an individual.

Sung-joon tells her that they need to cut out the rotten parts of the company also, because covering it up won’t make the problem disappear.

She asks if he has an alternative? Give me a report with your alternative plan.

He agrees and excuses himself.

She thinks about what another executive told her.

VO – I talked to the VP’s driver. Sung-joon and the VPs daughter had some kind of relationship.

Sung-joon goes to the elevator but Jung-sun in in it. So they stare at each other for a moment and the doors close. He did not go inside.

Meanwhile, the slut shaming has started with Hyun-ah. College friends are coming out of the woodworks to say that hyun-ah slept around a lot in college. They think she is doing this for revenge. People around the office are talking about it and are on Bae’s side.

One of the men talking about it is the previous VP that told Jung-sun that a miscarry at her age is nothing. Hyun-ah tries to ignore him.

He stops her and says that she should say hi. She is with Sang-woo. She tells him that she thought he did not see her, sorry. She bows and leaves with her head held hi.

Sang-woo does not know what to say. He asks her if she is okay, she says she is fine. Meanwhile, Bae happily looks at the college photos of Hyun-ah. He calls someone and tells them to post more of those images.

Later on that night, Yuri is working hard at work when she gets a message from Sung-joon telling her that he is waiting at a cross walk for her.

When she starts to leave, she sees Jung-sun who gives her the devil eye and then goes to work.
