I think this is a good move for the Vagabond crew, which is to avoid the end of Arthdal Chronicles at all cost. They don’t want anything to take away from their premiere date ratings and Arthdal viewers are sure to take a bit of that slice. So instead, they are releasing even more behind the scenes and set images to whet out appetite for the show.
Admittedly, they need to give me a lot more to chew on because nothing released so far has sparked my interest. I am tuning in for the chance of it to be great, which is why I watch most dramas. Plus, I really liked Lee Seung-gi in Hwayugi as well as what little I have seen in his variety show appearances. He seems like a great guy that deserves as many bonafide hits as he can get. So hopefully Vagabond goes well and blows all our expectations out of the water. Or it could be horrible, but the kind of horrible that is super fun to watch and has high ratings anyway.
Vagabond is the story of a stunt actor who wants to break into the big leagues with acting. But unfortunately suffers a family loss after a plane crash and gets pulled into a for real for real political espionage super mega coverup while searching for answers. He turns super spy and will do anything to find out the truth. It’s a crazy premise that belongs in a 90’s action blockbuster. But I love 90’s action blockbusters, so I am all for checking it out.
The new airing date for Vagabond is September 20th. It will air Fridays & Saturdays on SBS at 22:00 KST.

Oh my gaaaaaaawd, will this drama premier already!
