We have hopped right back into twist and turn land with Vagabond and I feel right at home. For those trying to catch up, Edward is the original bad guy who caused all of this happen from the beginning. But it also looks like he has someone above him that he answers to.

We open on the Blue House with the president in his office looking at a briefing. His secretary come in and tells him that his time is up. So he buttons his jacket and gets up to leave. But he takes one more look at his office before he does.
He gives a speech at a press conference Where he basically says, any moment I didnt’ work for myself. I always worked hard for Korea’s development. In Korea we need a President who can devote himself. It is bad for Korea if they cannot. So I will resign.
The press team claps for him.
In the warehouse, a CSI team looks through the site and takes photos. One of them finds Dal-gun’s necklace.
Elsewhere, Hae-ri is looking for Dal-gun. She calls Hwasook to find out where his cellphone last stopped. Then she goes into his apartment and sees a lot of policemen there.
They ask her what her relationship is with Dal-gun. Then they tell her that his finger print was found where Kim Woogi was kidnapped (flashback to Dal-gun giving the police officer his finger print). Then she gets a phone call, someone found Kim Woogi and he is dead.
Hae-ri runs to the coroner where she is told by Tae-woong that this is Kim Woogi. She asks who the other person is. Tae-woong says that there is no data, but his blood type is O. Hae-ri thinks that it could be Dal-gun because his blood type is O, but she does not tell anyone that.
She asks Tae-woong if he also thinks the same thing? He says that the last place Dal-gun’s cell phone was activated was on the scene. Haeri tells him that people can forgerize the phone list. Then the sidekick comes up with things that were found on the scene. One of them is the bullet necklace.
Haeri knows that this is the necklace that she gave to him. They think that this other person is Dal-gun. Hae-ri walks over to the body and starts to tear up as she reaches a hand out to lift the sheet. She looks at the body and drops the sheet and covers her mouth to keep from crying.
Elsewhere, the president is at home cleaning one of his plants and wering normal clothing. He sees the news which says that the body of Dal-gun and Kim Woogi was found. The president dropw his plant as the news says that Dal-gun kidnapped Kim Woogi and set a fire that killed them both.
Cut to Hae-ri crying over Dal-guns memorial.

Dal-gun watches her crying very close nearby. She cries and cries and he tries to keep from crying and going to her.
Cut back to that night Edward hung him in the warehouse by his arms. He told Dal-gun to just look at this as seeing his loved ones earlier.
But, Lilly and the North Korean where outside scoping the scene with someone else. The North Korean thinks that Lilly is really great at finding these things and asks to be her partner. She tells him that she does not do partners, only sidekicks. She lovingly pats him on the cheek and then smiles when she sees Edward. The North Korean wonders what is going on.
Edward drives away and the fire is detonated. Dalgun tries to free his hands and is able to. he starts to run away, but he falls to the ground when everything explodes. But he gets back up and tries to escape through a fence.
Lilly sees him and tells the North Korean and the other guy to hop in, it’s Dalgun.
Dal-gun keeps trying to get out.
Lilly drives their car into the burning building. The North Korean thinks she is crazy, if you want to die, just die yourself. But she isn’t listening and drives in and runs to rescue Dal-gun who is passed out.
The other guy tries to get Kim Woo-gi, but the bomb explodes and they both die. Lilly, the North Korean, and Dal-gun barely manage to escape and are blown from the building.
PRESS CONFERENCE
Soon-jo tells the people that as the new president he will investigate all the corruption of the former president and make a new prosperous Korea. He hopes this pain with be happiness for a better Korea.
Dal-gun watches this speech from a safe room somewhere.
At the press conference, Soon-jo’s team walks away talking about how the press conference went well. But then Lawyer Hong Seong-bum (Jessica’s former lawyer) gets a message that Samael wants to see Soon-jo.
So they go to a hotel room to meet. Soon-jo goes inside to see Edward who is Samael. Soon-jo is shocked. He bows. Edward asks they think his organizations order is a joke? I told you to process the FX project with Dynamics.
He gives him a file to open and tells him to change his government to the people on this list. Soon-jo mentions that it is my present authority to change the people in the office. I did not know that you cared about these tiny details.
Edward asks him why he thinks their organization made him the president. Soon-jo says it is because he is good. Edward asks if he knows why an international dispute happens? It is not for the money, it is for the Power. The person who owns the debt owns power. The country that makes another country owe, owns the world. So don’t mistaken it, our organization can always change someone like you.
Soon-jo stands and says that he will make sure. Edward tells him about the USB they have inside something and how all the international disputes are there. Soon-jo says that he is not popular with ciizens so I wonder if I will be re-elected? Edward tells him that with the oil issue, Korea will be rich and the people will be happy. Also, close the investigation into the airplane crash.
Soon-jo leaves. The secretary asks Edward if he thinks he can trust him?
END PART ONE

Hae-ri goes to Kang in the NIS and says that Dal-gun was murdered, he risked his own life to put Kim Woogi in court. Do you think it makes sense that he killed him? This is all by Samael!
TaeWoong tells her that they have an order to dissolve their task force and all the investigation into B357 is closed. When Soonjo became the new president, he showed his true identity.
Cut to Dalgun int he safe room putting two and two together and looking at a clear board that has lines drawn everywhere and all the key people. He circles Black Sun on the board.
Then Lilly and The North Korean (I’ll call him NK) come in. NK asks how long Dal-gun is going to stay here? Are you drawing now? Lilly tells NK that this is not your money. You have nothing to say about it. So NK and Lilly bicker about that. NK thinks that she is too mean to him and too nice to Dal-gun.
Lilly shrugs and asks Dal-gun why he is not calling Hae-ri? Dal-gun is not calling her because he wants to keep her alive.
Then they start to talk about the board and Black Sun. Lillys ays that everyone cannot join Black Sun, they have a lot of tasks you have to fullfill. Dalgun tells her to help him. She sighs and says that this is not why you help someone from dying. I am not a handle in a subway that you use for support. Then she tells him that she is very expensive. More than ten times your life.
PRESIDENT
The former president, Kook-pyo, looks at the news that says that he will be arrested soon. He turns off the news and answers his phone. It is Cha Dal-gun. The president asks if he is a conman? Dalgun is dead. Dalgun tells him that he is infront of him, open the door.
The president sighs and hangs up as if he doesnt believe him. But then Dalgun goes to his door so the president lets him in surprised. Slagun tells him that there is not time to explain things, I need money. I am going to go inside the tigers cave to catch the tiger (Korean proverb).
Kook-pyo tells him to go to a loan shark street and find Jangoo Umma. She will give you whatever money you want. Dalgun nods and starts to walk out. The president tells him that he is funny, you will not die even if you are struck by lightning, that is why I am helping you. Your life is collateral so I do not feel like I will lose.
Dalgun turns his head back partly and says, I will never die. then he continues leaving.
PRISON
Jessica makes a call to Lilly who tells her that she is going back to America because she has a new client who gave her a lot of work. Jessica says, okay, but can I ask you for a favor? There is a government person in America, ask him to bring me to America.
Lilly says okay, she can do that. Then she tells Jessica that Samael is Edward Park, so be careful, the devil is close to you. Jessica is shocked.
On the way back to her cell, Jessica looks spooked. She also sees the assassin that she remembers from the airplane video, Jerome. He is a cell guard now. She quickly walks back to her cell.
Her cell mates ask her what happened? She says nothing and looks around. She spots a jail camera. One of the cell mates is also getting out of jail right now. Jessica looks worried.
So Jessica manages to get a message to Hae-ri and team. She says that before I go back to America, please protect me. I know who Samael is.

Hae-ri tells the team that she will go into the jail. They are hesitant to let her go but think that they can plan everything, especially because they might try to kill Jessica. So they make a plan. Cut to Hae-ri who is a new prisoner in the jail.
Edward and the secretary know that hae-ri is in jail now so they think that this is an undercover investigation. But the task force is dissolved so she is on her own. The secretary, Micky, tells Edward that they should kill her (either Hae-ri or Jessica, not sure). Edward says that they can’t kill Jessica until they find out how much she knows. Micky thinks that is not Edwards way, she could be trouble later.
Hae-ri walks through the prison and notices Jessica. Jessica notices her as well. But theyhave to be careful because Jerome is around and there are other guards on the other side around as well.
So Haeri sneaks around to talk to jessica. Jessica says that she cannot tell her who Samael is right now, I want to make sure I am safe first. But then a guard sees them so they pretend to fight. They knock out the guard. Jessica tells Haeri that Edward is Samael. Jerome is in the jail as a guard as well.
But they have to pretend to fight again because the guard wakes up. Cut to Jerome sending Jessica to solitary confinement. Hae-ri is also in solitary. While there, she fumes and mutters that Edward is the devil.
Later on, Hae-ri is let out for a meeting request. It is with Edward. He tells her that he was surprised to hear that Hae-rii is in jail and asks if she needs a lawyer. Hae-rii clenches her fist and tells him that she came there on purpose.
She tells him that the information that Oh Sangmi (the wife) gave them is all a lie. Why did she do that? It provided confusion in our investigation. Jessica knows things and she knew this which is why she killed Dal-gun. Edward tells Hae-ri that she can’t prove his innocence here.
Hae-ri tells him that no matter what, she will make her pay.
Later on, we see Jerome, Mickey, an Edward looking at CCTV of Hae-ri and Jessica in an infirmary after a fight. Edward thinks that they could be faking even though Jerome thinks they might not be. Then Hae-ri grabs a scalpel and stabs Jessica with it. She goes back to solitary.

Edward gets a phone call from Jessica who is in the infirmary recovering. She tells him that she wants to see him, can you come visit me?
So he goes to sit with her and tells her that it seems like life there is difficult. She writes her email and password on a note and tells her that all the John & Mark deals are in there. If it is revealed then John & Mark is bankrupt. Merging the companies is my last gift to you.
She says that they stopped her from going to America, they want to abandon her even though she worked so hard for them. Edward thanks her for her gift. Then he asks why she is not asking him for help? He can send her to America. is it your pride?
She tells him that she hates him. I will not ask for help from you. she leaves.
He looks at the email and password and then calls someone. he tells them to send Jessica to America.
In solitary, Hae-ri thinks about all her happy moment with Dalgun.
MORNING
On some day, Haeri gets released from jail. She walks out and is picked up by Jessica who looks fabulous once again. Jessica gives her sunglasses and they drive away. Jessica tells her that as soon as she was sent to America she bailed.
Jessica asks if Haeri can get her revenge? If you want to get your revenge, you won’t be able to do it as an NIS agent. So lets go to America together. I will make you the best lobbyist in the world in 6 months.
Haeri asks what is next after that? Jessica tells her that they can go to the Kingdom. Edward is digging crude oil with someone there. Jessica says that she will make money and stop what they are doing. Hae-ri tells her that she will do it. Jessica tells her that timing is the most important thing for a lobbyist.
EDWARD
Meanwhile, the news talks about terrorism in a part of the world that might affect Edward. Mickey comes in with a phone call from someone important in that area.
Cut to the Ginapaso Border of North Africa. Military looking men with machine guns are going through a building and shooting up everyone they see. Their goals is to get biological weapons from these terrorists? Something like that.
So they kill everyone in the room. Dalgun is one of these military people as well. He looks at another military man getting the biological weapons. So it looks like he was able to join that Black Team. He asks the man if there will be a terrorist attack with that? he mans ays that they only take orders not ask qustions.
Lilly talks to Dalgun over his ear and says that Jerome is the one that is collecting the biological weapon. Dont let him see your face or it is all done. Are you listening to me Gun? Don’t think of anything stupid! You are our money, so don’t be stupid. You are Black Sun’s secret agent, before we find out their identity, if you~.
But Dalgun cut her off then he starts to kill everyone in the room. So it looks like the Black Sun team trained him in how to operate these weapons?
Jerome comes in with his hand gun out and looks around. He radios to see if there are any survivors? Did you get the package? But no one says anything. He sees the package on the table and opens it. it has all the biological devices.
Then Dal-gun shoots him. Jerome falls, but still holds the weapon. He yells, who the hell are you! Dal-gun tells him, Ii am a family member of B357. Jerome looks at him, Cha Dal-gun? He starts to throw the biological weapon at him but Dalgun shoots it and is detonates.
Jerome starts to succumb to the biological weapon. Dalgun tells him that his nephew had more pain during this plane crash. But he has the antidote and says that he will give it to him if he answers who is behind this. Jerome tells him to kill him, but then tells him that it is Axis.
Dal-gun remembers the password, “Wheels turn on their axis.” Jerome tells him that it is a global organization. Edward will use the biological weapon in Kiria Kingdom.
Dal-gun throws the antidote to him and then crushes it with his foot. He tells him to remember his nephews name, Hoon, Cha Hoon.
He walks out cooly and dramatically and then detonates the entire building.

Elsewhere, all the bad guys are driving in their car. Soon-jo, Edward, Mickey and the lawyer. Soon-jo tells Edward that the Kingdom has a new lobbyist. it is a woman. The royal family is interested in her.
Edward says that he will take care of it.
They get to their location. Soon-jo says goodbye. Edward says that while he is in the Kingdom, you need to prepare your presidency well. Soonjo is all like what the hell? The lawyer tells him to take his orders until he becomes president.
Cut to Edward being greated by Han-ki andn Min who are there to take his orders. They are on their way to the Kingdom. They all walk off dramatically in slow motion.
KINGDOM OF KIRIA, NORTH AFRICA
We open on a desert landscape. Then we see a woman putting on her high heel shoes and cut to Dal-gun getting his guns together.
We cut back and forth between Hae-ri getting her sexy look together and Dal-gun getting his sniper look together.
Then the caravan from the very first scene in the first episode is shown. Haeri is inside the car and is told that it takes about an hour to get there.
In the drivers seat, the men basically talk about how proud she is. But they also mention that she is just a hooker. They are not sure if tonight will be Heaven or Hell for her. She tells them, do you want me to tell you if it will be Heaven or Hell? I wonder if you will still be alive tomorrow.
They apologize to her. She says that even if she forgives them, Japaro won’t. They beg her not to tell Japaro. She tells them, if you want to live, just drive.
In the hills, we see Dalgun and a Russian solders with all their sniper things together. The Russian guy tells him that he is the best in Russia. Now he is helping this monkey. Dalgun is not really listening to him.
Then they get word that the target is arriving. So Dal-gun puts his gear on and prepares to shoot.
The caravan gets a flat tire so they stop. Hae-rii gets out and is protected by the other men guards. Then her scarf blows off. Dal-gun sees that this is Hae-ri. His eyes grow wide.
He looks at her, he is supposed to take the shot. But he cannot, he keeps lookin at her. The Russian tells him to take the shot! But then the Russian says he will take it. So Dal-gun shoots the Russian.
The guards all hear this and hurry into the car and head out.
Dal-gun has a tear fall as he breathes hard and takes off his gear and looks at the caravan drive off.
THE END? UM…?

OMG, this ridiculous show just had the most ridiculous ending and I am laughing with hysteria. How did all that money lead to this show? And especially this ending?????
I mean, what were they thinking? How can they end it on this? It is not even a cliff hanger, it is just a stop. If they wanted to end on a cliffhanger then they could have at least stopped it when the Russian was about to shoot her or with Dal-gun closing his hand and almost pulling the trigger, but this is so stupid!
The dummest thing is, what does killing her do? It does not stop Edward from getting his deal done. What the F? I don’t understand at all and it somehow matches this entire drama of none stop nonsense.
What do y’all think? What the #$%^ was this show? I am seriously cackle laughing at this point.

What’s happening with all these series of dramas ending??? Chronicles of Arthdal, Tales of Alhambra now Vagabond? It’s very frustrating waiting for the ending not knowing that it will nit be satisfying! Will there be Season 2 or to hell with viewers… that’s it! How many more of these endings really?!

Definitely not a satisfying ending. It may be that a second season is contemplated and I will watch it if there is one. However, I am concerned that the multiple season format may become more common as a result of the influence of parties like Netflix. For me, one of the positive traits of the korean drama is that they are generally mini-series dramas. It will be a shame if the mini-series format ceases to be the norm.
I have looked on line at the sites that cover Kdramas, and they all say there is no indication at all that the actors have contracted for a second season, that a second season is in production, or even planned. Zero word. Like you, I fear this is what the Netflix involvement is going to do to Kdramas, and as the actors have obligations for Korean- produced dramas, who knows what will happen. I am personally furious about the ending.
WTF!! Now Go Hae-Ri became a lobbyist (hooker) to get her revenge on Edward for Dal-gun and Dal-gun became a mercenary (mass murderer) for Edward and kills people around without much emotional trouble. Most of all, Dal-gun works with Lilly, Lilly and Jessica are friends, Hae-ri works under Jessica…but Dal-gun and Hae-ri doesn’t know what each other’s up to. What a mess! I still enjoyed it! They definitely eluded to to becoming a hooker and Dal-gun is technically a killer for hire and they are both working for the people they hate the most and Edward got away with everything so…..horrible way to end it.

Im just in dissapointment that they made Hae Ri a hooker(lobbyist) all i hope is that she hasn’t done it and killed them before so and im only saying this because this will destroy my view of the Dal-Gun and Go-Hae-Ri ship like 🙁
So, the drama ends with Dal-gun and Hae-ri target Edward, not even getting close to Axis, the organization Edward works for. What if in season 2 (if there is one), they destroy Edward and ends season 2 with targeting Axis, then in season 3, they destroy Axis and target the Illuminati, and on and on…Just having fun thinking about it.
I am pretty certain there will be a season 2 because the ratings was good for the overall drama and the ending was set up that way to show future possibilities between the now, Hae-ri (lobbyist) and Dal-Geon (mercenary). With that being said, I can’t justify his act of killing innocent people which he could have done potentially but it was not shown on camera as he was just killing other mercenary. But he have also saved people through destroying the bio-hazard capsule so there is that. Thus, he is neither good nor bad. I wish to see Lily soon though cause she is the star of this show in my book. Bae Suzy is another one I want to see soon but we are going to have to wait for a long while before season 2 comes out.

Martin just finished watching with my wife all the way through we were on the edge of our seats very disappointed with the ending hope there is a second series.
Apparently the blue house secretary posted on her insta saying they’ll see us again in Season 2. It’s weird for a kdrama to get a second season. Anyone else mad that Cha Dal-geon has now killed so many people? I get Jerome but he killed all the other people too. Makes me upset. Really don’t know how this second season is going to go if there is one.

It was weird for him to become a cold hearted killer. Perhaps it would have been better if they built it up a bit more? Like maybe if we saw his struggle with it?

The next SBS drama at this time spot does not start until 12/13/19 so maybe, I am hoping there will be adding more episodes. that would be the only good explanation for this horrible and stupid ending.

I actually really enjoyed this show even though I usually stay away from the Action genre. What made me watch it was the original plot of the plane crash and the main characters working against so many powerful forces to get justice for those who died, and the bereaved families.
Hated the ending because I never got to see that kdrama like resolution where the crime is revealed and the criminals are punished.
I agree that it was a shit ending, and I hope there is a season 2 because I would never say no to more Lee Seunggi 🤭🤭
This is so stupid. I’m never gonna watch those Korean Netflix original again. First Memories of Alhambra disappoints me, and then this. I wasted my two months watching this. I can’t believe it. I’m just gonna go binge-watch some TVN romantic dramas now and at least I’d get a proper closure, even if it’s a bad ending!

They really have a bad record these endings. Memories of Alhambra, Arthdal Chronicles, and now this show. It almost makes me feel like Korean producers are taking advantage of Netflix and all the money they get from them in order to force a second season and more money?
This ending makes absolutely no sense. It’s not even open ended. It’s basically saying he infiltrated an organisation he has no clue about. She is prancing around playing lobbyist. And Edward Parks literally got away with murder.

True.. The ending was hanging there.. Kind of disappointed.. Hopefully there’s gonna be 2nd season where Cha Dal Gon and Goa Ha Ri reunited and Edward Park @ Samael brought to justice. Anyway, the death of Jerome was satisfying. Good luck TVN & Netflix for the next season.. Hopefully

this drama was always intended to be a 32 episode series, although netflix called the first 16 episodes season 1 (which makes it seem like season 2 is in question.)

This drama is amazing, but the ending just make it downhill…I was expecting to have more episodes but it just ended..this whole entire drama is just talking about how they wanted to catch those bad people, but in the end, they haven’t catch them. There’s just too many lose information. I hope there’s season 2, because if not, it’s just going to leave bad impression of this drama.
If this drama don’t have season 2, I’ll never watch Netflix Korean dramas anymore. After Arthdal Chronicals, love alarm and this, I’m so done.. They just squeeze everything into the final episode and end off as it is. I’m very happy that Love alarm will have season 2 coming up, so I deeply wish that Vagabond and Arthdal Chronicals will have season 2 as well.
This drama was so freaking nice and exciting but they just wanted it to end off like this.. what’s with the script.. or is it because it’s a must to end off with episode sixteen. I felt so disappointed after watching the ending, it felt so abrupt.
For the sake of Vagabond’s overall ratings and all the vagabond fans, please have season 2.
Really suck ending!

The production company addressed the question about a potential Season 2 after the finale broadcast. They said the show was planned and produced with a second season in mind. That being said, they also mentioned the long production period and the involvement of actors/actresses who have very busy schedule. With the popularity and good reviews they are getting, I think it’s easier to make a Season 2 happen. It wouldn’t be an easy task to get everyone back together though. Personally I would love to see that happen.
From the storytelling point of view, they could (and should) have wrapped up the show better. I wish they wrapped up the season 1 story more appropriately. Jerome, Oh Sang-mi, and Kim Woo-gi, the three who directly cause the flight B357 crash did get what they deserved. However, none of the big bad behind the scene did.
I will miss Lilly and her North Korean killer turned sidekick. While Lilly is still the same money loving as the first time we saw her, her character has developed over time. If not for her driving the jeep into the warehouse, DG would be no more (maybe).
Just like everyone, I want to see a Season 2. What will it 2 be like? We might not see a number of characters – the family of victims on flight B357; some of the characters in NIS (as our main characters moving on, it would be harder to tie they to the story).
I want to learn more about the missing 6 months when SR got her lobbyist training in US as well as the transformation of DG.
What a terrible ending!!!! The producers should be sued for fraud. After we spent weeks enjoying the drama it ends with so many questions. Not acceptable!!!
I thought I read that this show was fully “in the can” when it began airing- in other words there was no live shooting as it the case with many K-dramas. So, I wondered why the story was so bad and so incoherent. Then, about half way through I gave up trying to make any sense of it and just enjoyed the ride. But, yes WTF is this ending? If all the episodes had been completed before the drama began airing, and there was a plan for a 2nd season, wouldn’t it be important to try to lock these big names actors in for the sequel?
My theory is that a group of monkeys with computers wrote this story and just got tired and quit…

The ending is absolutely PERFECT if there’s gonna be a season 2.. and I’m quite positive about it. There are lots of rumors about it that I’m pretty sure they’re already in the process of making. We just have to wait.. oh and, the Blue House Secretary also posted on her IG saying “See u in Vagabond S2”
