We open on Tae-oh and Da-kyung at their welcome back party in their fabulous mansion. They stood in front of everyone and tae-o kissed Da-kyung. 

VO – It has to be perfect. Don’t be disturbed by any hardship. I told myself that over and over again.

W see them enjoying their days

VO – The happiness of day to day life and pain and sadness and everything, we do it together because we are married.

They happily eat with their daughter

VO – He is another me and we spend our fate together. Whatever happens, we should not be disturbed. 

He hugs her and they both smile in their closet.

VO – But now, what is she talking about?

In the present, Sun-woo stands in front of Da-kyung outside Da-kyung’s place.

SW – Lee Tae-oh slept with me.

Da-kyung looks like everything just crumbled.

SW – I told you, there is no guarantee that you won’t be like me.

DK – Are you crazy? I don’t trust you. You are just trying to light a fire in my house because you are leaving.

SW – Should I tell you his underwear color that day? I don’t lie. If you trust me or not, you decide.

She turns to leave.

DK – You are so cheap. You are dirty and cheap. Aren’t you ashamed in front of Joon-young?

Sun-woo turns back to her.

SW – When Joon-young left home and slept in the PC bang, it was that day.

Operatic music starts to play. Da-kyung goes back inside. Her mother quietly asks, what happened? Da-kyung gathers herself and says that she just went to see Joon-young leaving. Sorry I showed you not that good of a side, you can both leave.

BK says he will wait until her husband comes back. Hyo-jung says, yes, we can’t leave you alone. You don’t look too good now. She holds her hands and asks, did she say something strange.

DK says that it is not the first time she said nonsense, I will ignore her. 

BK – What did she say? *steps closer*

DK – It is nothing. I just want to rest, just go.

She walks away to her room. Her parents look at her and look worried. They both leave and are driven away back to their place. But they are quiet in the car ride back.

SUN WOO

Sun-woo takes Joon-young home. They both walk quietly inside. Sun-woo tells him that she is hungry, so let’s eat something. They are both filled with emotion and sit to eat.

Meanwhile, Tae-oh is drinking Soju and thinking about slapping his son and his wife trying to kill herself but Yoon-ki saving her. He tells himself that because of him a lot of people are suffering. How long will you do this to them? You trash. He takes another drink of the soju.

MANSION

Da-kyung waits for Tae-oh to come back. She sits at the dinner table. He gets back and sees her there, he apologizes. She doesn’t say anything. Tae-oh asks, joon young? She says nothing.

He runs upstairs and sees that Joon-young left. He goes back to the kitchen and asks, where is Joon-young? She is still quiet. He asks, what happened! She finally says something.

DK – Did you sleep with Ji Sun-woo? Answer carefully if you do not want to make the same mistake twice. Everything depends on how you answer, if you tell me the truth or lie to me. If you tell me the truth then I will hate you forever. But if you lie, then I won’t forgive you.

He thinks about what Sun-woo said to him, that lies are real betrayal, so tell me the truth, do you have a woman?

Da-kyung says that he needs to decide which is worse. I heard that it was the night that Joon-young was not at home, that day you lied and said you were with Jae-hyuk. I called you so many times because Jenny was sick. So you did it with that woman?

TO – Did Ji Sun-woo tell you?

DK – Answer me, DID YOU SLEEP WITH HER!

TO – Yes.

She laugh-cries in disbelief. He hangs his head.

DK – So what are you two?

TO – Just- and accident-it doesn’t mean anything to me – just one mistake, nothing more than that – it was a mistake that I don’t even want to remember. She is not here, she will leave. She quit her job, don’t worry about her.

DK – It does not matte where she is, I an’t trust you! I trusted you even when she told me you were stalking her. I trusted you even when I saw your cell phone filled with her pictures. When she made an alibi for you with the police. Because you are the father of Joon-young, that is what I thought. But now I know. You still have feelings for her. You and her.

TO – She just wants to destroy me, why do you think she told you without any shame. She just wants to shake our marriage. Dn’t be swayed by her, you are the only one I want to protect. I want to be happy with you! I wanted to kick her out, that is what happened

DK -So that is why you slept with her? To kick her out? You want me to believe that?

She walks off. he is left standing there in pain. She goes to her room and cries on the bed. But then she starts to pull herself together.

He goes to his office and thinks about his life and misery. He starts to cry on the couch.

VO – Love and marriage and raising you, your father was the one I spent the happiest time in my life. We fought miserably and I got divorced because we can’t live together anymore. It wasn’t just hating him. As you missed appa, I also did in a short moment, miss my husband. I know it is confusing and you feel betrayed, I am really sorry.

Sun-woo is talking to Joon-young at the kitchen table. They are both teary.

SW – If you keep hating me than I am okay. I will stay with you and protect you and support you. That is the only thing I want. I hope that you treasure yourself and think that you are important. You are different than appa and umma, you can live differently, okay.

JY – Everyone in school should know that I am a thief. 

SW – It will be difficult for you, but we can overcome it. Umma is here and Umma will protect you. Let’s overcome this together.

JY – Can we just leave and go somewhere no one knows.

SW – Are you okay not seeing your father ever again?

JY – Yes, I don’t ever want to see him again.

SW – Okay, let’s go anywhere. Give me some time to wrap things up, okay?

MANSION

Tae-eon wakes up in the morning. He slept in the office all night. the sun shines on his face and he sits up. he goes downstairs and sees Da-kyung sipping tea at the table.

he pauses and then goes to the fridge for some water. She prepared him something to eat, it is on the table. He sees it.

DK – thank you for telling me honestly, it shouldn’t have been easy for you. Does Joon-young know what happened between you two?

TO – *Nods*

DK – Poor guy. I am not ever going to make Jenny like Joon-young. I am different from her. I do not want to hit the bottom like her. I can overcome it. I will overcome it for Jenny. I will overcome it with you together.

TO – Da-kyung….

DK – But you should give me some time, I need time

TO – Okay, you can take whatever time you need. I will wait for you and work hard.

DK – Eat your meal.

He slowly sits and starts to eat.

TO – Thank you.

She stares at him. He says the soup is good. She tells him to enjoy it and starts to drink her tea again. She leaves and goes to Jenny.

After he finishes getting ready he goes to them both in her room to say goodbye to Jenny. He also hesitantly gives Da-kyung a kiss on the cheek.

JOON YOUNG

Joon-young starts to pack. He also gets all he things he stole. But then the bell rings. He tells Sun-woo that he does not want to see him. She tells him to go to his room and then opens the door. It is tae-oh.

Tae-oh asks where he is. She says to tell her what he wants to say. He says it was an accident, I want to see him. She tells him that he does not want to see him.

Tae-eoh yells for Joon-young and starts to go upstairs. Joon-youn is at the top of the stairs so Tae-oh stops. He apologizes for hitting him and says he did not want to do it, he was just angry. Joon-young tells him to leave, if you don’t leave then I will call the police. He runs to his room.

Sun-woo tells Tae-oh to just leave, don’t torture him anymore. It is all done. Just leave. Tae-oh walks angrily to Sun-woo.

He pulls her outside their house and asks if this was all planned? The spy is out there as well. Tae-oh asks, why did you tell Da-kyung! You said it did not happen, Do you still have something for me? I gave up everything and left!

SW – I just asked you not to hurt Joon-young. You said you would raise him wella nd make him happy. But you hit my son in front of them!

TO – Yes, I did, so you wanted to screw me up? You really want to see the bottom? 

SW – Are you afraid of being abandoned?

TO – Da-kyung is in a different league than you. She will forgive me my one mistake. Sorry, are you disappointed?

SW – Do you really think she can forgive you? Do you think she is differnent than me?

TO – Don’t think Joon-young likes you, he is just angry at me for now. I will never give up Joon-young.

He gets in his car. Sun-woo opens the door and tells him, this is my last warning, just give up Joon-yuong and end things here. Otherwise I will destroy you.

He gets back out and forcefully pushes her against his car and tells her, you are the one that is destroyed! You just became embarrassed that you did something with me that night. Don’t you see! You can’t do anything, what are you going to do! I can’t leave Joon-young with you, you are crazy.

He throws her away by the wrists. Then he drives off. Sun-woo is shocked but gets a hole of herself. Joon-young is inside the house, worrying. She remembers him telling her that he is worried about appa coming again and taking him away. She told him, don’t worry, I will protect you.

So outside, protective Sun-woo clicks into gear. She confidently walks to a dark car and knocks on the window. It is the spy’s car. He rolls down the window. She tells him, tell Chairman Yeo that Ii want to see him.
