The World of the Married: Episode 13 Live Recap – Part 3

This is part 3 of our recap for The World of the Married!

Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3

Caution: Be wary of typos

Shorthand Character Chart: The World of the Married Character Chart

How we do this: This live recap will be in two parts and we segment each post around every 10 minutes. Sometimes sooner, sometimes later depending on the scene. There will be typos which we have fantasies of fixing once the episode finishes airing. Also, if there is a preview then we will try and translate it. Look for that at the bottom or on a separate post!

The Director checks his patient list. He has two. Myung-sook asks him if it is difficult to see patients? He tells her that it is not difficult, it is just that I have an important schedule. he asks how long Sun-woo did not see patients. Myung-sook says until today, it is important for her son’s life.

Sun-woo comes back right then. She apologizes to the Director for making him worry and says she will take over the afternoon patients. Myung-sook tells her not to worry, she talked to him about it.

They also talk about how the wife talks a lot, they already have a lot of rumors spreading. The nurses ask if she can see patients now? Sun-woo tells Myung-sook that they can talk later.

She goes to see a patient who has a pain in her belly. The patient tells her that she is use to have a sensitive intestines. Sun-woo tells her she can take the medicine, if that does not solve it then come back again. Might you be pregnant? the woman says no, she is irregular.

So Sun-woo tells her to get her prescription but also do not ignore being irregular. You need to see the OBGYN. The patient thanks her and leaves.

The nurse asks Sun-woo if she can work overtime? We have a lobby full of patients. Sun-woo says okay. She just needs a 10 minute break.

Tae-oh and Da-kyung talk in the bedroom. He asks her if she is sure? Da-kyung says she is sure, that is why she kneeled to Hae-kyung’s mother. I talked to them, they will not bring it up, but you should pay a little more attention to Hae-kang.

DK – Joon-young should grow up properly, that will also comfort me, right?

TO – Thank you, but Da-kyung you should not feel guilty. I should be the one. I feel sorry to you.

DK – I was ready for that when I took him in. So let me take care of him

Tae-oh takes that in for a moment, then walks off. Joon-young is sitting at his desk in his room. He is really brooding. he looks at his cell phone.

He sends a text to Sun-woo.

Text – I do not want to complicate things. Everything is better without you. You should leave and go where you want to go. I am okay.

Sun-woo collapses on the hallway floor after reading it.

In his office, Tae-oh is about to call Sun-woo. But he hesitates.

Sun-woo sits in her office looking off at nothing. Myung-sook peeks inside and asks, aren’t you going home? Sun-woo says she should.

They chat about Ye-rim and Jae-hyuk and how they might get back together. Sun-woo tells her that she might leave the town. Myung-sook is shocked. Sun-woo says she will tell the Director at a nice time so as not to affect the hospital.

Myung-sook asks if she is okay without Joon-yong? Sun-woo says she hopes Joon-young is okay. I don’t know why he is pushing me away. She asks Myung-sook how it was when her parents got divorced. Myung-sook says she as angry at both of them. It was confusing why adults were acting like that. I was always angry whether they talked to each other or not.

Sun-woo asks, so you were angry at both? Becuase it was confusing? Well, if that is the case then maybe it is better for me to leave. Sorry, I will head out first. She leaves.

Sun-woo calls Tae-oh while walking out. He answers.

TO – Yes, its me.

SW – Can I see you? I have something to tell you.

They meet up outside a building, maybe his company building? She tells him that she wants him to know something.

TO – I know that Joon-young stealing things is not the first time.

SW – How do you know?

TO – Da-kyung told me, she talked to Cha’s wife. I have to tell him. We have to think about how we hurt his kid.

SW – Habitual stealing is not an easy problem.

TO – I understand your worry, but you have to trust me. I will raise him right and properly. Happier than any other. I will raise him like that.

SW – Without me, are you sure?

TO – Yes.

She starts to get back in her car.

SW – What is it that Joon-young did not go home, is what Hae-kyung said true?

TO – it was that day I was with you.

She thinks back to Joon-young acting all crazy when talking to them and asking why they are meeting again? You were done and divorced. Am I your excuse again?

It looks like they both are thinking about the same thing.

SW – Did he?

TO – No, it shouldnt’ be.

She gasps, he gasps.

SW – Where is he?

Cut to Joon-young hitting the ball at the batting cages. He htis it over and over again until the bat flies out of his hands. Sun-woo goes there along with Tae-oh. He stares at them through the fence.

All of them end up standing by the car. He asks what they want to talk to him about? Tae-oh asks, when you went to the PC bang…. Sun-woo finishes, did you come to Ummas?

Joon-young says, yes. Operatic music starts to play and we cut to Joon-young opening the door to their house and sees tae-oh and Sun-woo kissing on the couch.

They both freak out in the present and Joon-young turns his back on them.

Fade Out

Yep, Joon-young is straight messed up due to the adults. Shoot, seeing your parents banging is traumatizing by itself, but he sees HIS parents banging that is like craziness. Um, pops, didn’t you try to kill umma? Umm….umma, didn’t appa beat the ish out of you and cheat on you and marry another woman and have a baby and come back to town to make your life worse? Y’all are cool with that? Okay, okay.

Lol. So yes, he should be super messed up in the head. My whole thing is, are they going to get back together? Because it kind of feels like that could actually happen. As crazy sauce as that sounds. But I love it!

English Translation

YK – Dr. Ji disappeared?

DK – You are hurt because of adults. Half of that is my fault.

TO – Can we give him some time to breathe?

TO – I wish that we trust him and wait for him.

YR – You are not tired?

JH – No, I am happy

DK – We are a real family, do you understand that?

Man – What makes you so nervous?

SW – The worst thing to me is if Joon-young hates me.

Man – Love or hate, just honor Joon-young’s heart.

    Omg…this is so crazy.
After divorced, the parent still kissed passionately and the son saw all of that craziness. I thought i will crazy too and had big question mark to my parent if they like that.

Why are you divorce if you still have feeling for each other like that???

So damn. Make the child so confuse.

Thank you for your recap. That episode was sad. Rollercoaster of emotions and I like it. Finally a drama who depicts real life. Even if you are divorced, if you got separated, sometimes you have nostalgia, do mistakes and don’t follow rules of Dua Lipa. Haha. But that is the real life, we are humans too.

Kim Hee Ae has a perfect diction, she should read audio books.

Kim Hee Ae will win Daesang for TV. She is better than Best Actress haha.

Yes, this show is doing a really good job of depicting real life. Dramatized, but definitely real life stakes and everything!

I feel sooooo bad for Jin Seo! >.< No wonder he's angry and confused.

I'm not really happy about Je-hyuk and Ye-rim's possible reconciliation (if cancer doesn't sneak up on her first). A person who's cheated for pretty much your entire marriage doesn't change just like that. Even with the threat of divorce. What's gonna happen when there's another cute waitress that comes onto Je-hyuk? Especially if Ye-rim manages to get pregnant and doesn't feel well? It's just not likely that he's changed for good. That's the only unrealistic thing about the drama.

Everything else is heart-wrenchingly real, and I love it.

    /endminirant LOL

His change is so strange to me especially when he was so hard and cold in the first six episodes of the show.

Okay, glad it’s not just me!

Him being cutesy with Ye-rim every other scene is so strange lol.

Seriously do you think her acting is good? I find her expressions all the same, be it anger, shock, sad

I love her acting. Some of her emotions do look similar, but she brings it with all of them.
