I hope 2021 has been treating everyone well so far. We’ve just wrapped up the first ever Milkies Awards, and now it’s time to announce the winners!
Below are dramas (and characters in them) the Drama Milk community felt were deserving of recognition and the coveted Golden Milk Carton.
Who was the best K-drama villain of 2020?
266 people voted, and Baek Hee-sung from Flower of Evil came out the winner with 97 votes. That’s a whopping 36.47% of them! So collectively, we felt he was the best villain of 2020. Not surprising considering he was a remorseless serial killer who kept his victims’ fingernails as trophies. I mean, even a coma couldn’t stop this dude.
Do Hui-jae from It’s Okay To Not Be Okay came in a distant second with 40 votes.
Who was the best K-drama couple of 2020?
202 people voted, and Ri Jung-hyuk and Yoon Se-ri from Crash Landing On You won the award with 84 votes. Their win is especially momentous, because both Hyun-bin and Son Ye-jin’s agencies just confirmed they’re dating a few days ago. I think it’s safe to say we all had a feeling. That sweet chemistry couldn’t be fabricated.
Moon Gang-tae and Go Moon-young from It’s Okay To Not Be Okay came in second with 45 votes. If there’s an announcement about them in the future, let’s just say I won’t be surprised either.
What K-drama couple had the best kiss of 2020?
Ready to invert the results? When it came to the Best Kiss of 2020, 157 people voted and 62 of those votes made Moon Gang-tae and Go Moon-young from It’s Okay To Not Be Okay the winners of a Golden Milk Carton! The community has spoken, and we could not get enough of their steamy kisses.
Ri Jung-hyuk and Yoon Se-ri came in second place with 32 votes, because their kisses were also amazing. Hence the dating in real life.
What was the BEST K-drama of 2020?
And last, but certainly not least, Drama Milk users voted Crash Landing On You as the best K-drama of 2020! 184 people voted and Crash Landing On You got 46 of them. This drama proved to be a ray of hope for many during a dark year. It was very close though. It’s Okay To Not Be Okay only lost by five votes! And to my surprise, Hospital Playlist came in third with 32 votes.
This just shows 2020 was a great year for dramas even though it was not-so-great for everything else.
