I feel like the next two episodes will be really hard to watch. Our team has two tough cases they are dealing with that make me want to fast forward through scenes and one or two of the officers might have a serious medical condition. I would say that I hope things turn out well, but with how things have been going with this writer, it doesn’t look good. View Post

I can only imagine that all hell will break loose once Yang-chon gets to that gambling site. Hopefully he doesn’t get himself or anyone else hurt or ruin the case with some foolishness. It would really stink if all those people got to go free on a technicality. View Post

That kiss last episode was one picturesque affair. I loved everything about it. Too bad our poor boy Sang-su was watching along. I really see no competition with Sang-su and Myung-ho. Myung-ho is better in every sing way. Outside of looks, he is also kind, understanding, caring, ranks higher, is trustworthy, has mounds of integrity, defends JO, and openly expresses himself to her. SS needs to get on the come up bus if he hope to stand a chance with that. I’m rooting for him. View Post

It looks like we are building toward solving a big case. I see a few awards in the future for our local police squad. JO is turning into quite and asset. But Hae-ri and Sang-su are still struggling trying to find where they fit. It’s nice to see those two getting along better with their mentors, though. View Post

We are going to give Live one more episode to see if we want to keep covering it. This show is definitely high quality with rich characters and great acting, the only issue I am having is that the trailers and posters promised a fun and playful show, and yet Live is the opposite of fun and playful, more like bleak and dreary. That would be cool, if that is how they marketed it, then I wouldn’t be waiting for the fun to kick in. The ratings are great in Korea, they are sitting at 5%. So if you enjoy a very well made realism drama about cops and the underbelly of Korea, I suggest giving Live a try. We, on the other hand, might be dropping it after this episode. We’ll have to wait to see how this episode goes though, I am still holding out for something! View Post

I agree with the comments from episode 5, Sang-soon basically had the worst day ever where no matter what he did, it just didn’t work out right. Call me crazy, but I don’t think following your supervisor/mentor to his home and beating him up is the answer though. Hopefully Yang-chon isn’t too hard on him and gives him some good advice. (Also, I am still holding out hope that a supernatural element shows up.) View Post

Okay, I was way off with the halbae, it looks like he is still alive. I really thought he might be a ghost that only JM could see so yeah, I was way, way off. I mean I guess it could still be true? We shall see. I am enjoying this show, though. It isn’t for everyone and it actually wouldn’t be for me normally, but for some reason I really like it right now. View Post

Live is realism at its finest. This drama is so real, that it feels like a documentary. But it’s beautifully shot so it feels like a movie. But the characters are so quiet and well thought out that it feels like a novel. Speaking of novels, does anyone else see that something is just not right with the Halbae that Ahn Jang-mi talks to? If what we think is right, then we believe we are going to step from realism right into magical realism of the Gabriel Garcia Marquez variety. I would love that so much, so hopefully it happens. My goodness, I really enjoyed the first episode of Live. I enjoyed it a lot. It was almost uncomfortably realistic, yet managed to have hope sprinkled all over it. There was no playfulness that the teasers promised, yet I am surprisingly okay with that. The soundtrack gets me right in the feels and it is actually a song that we have been singing along to all day without even noticing it. This show has something y’all, it feels like the making of a wonderful drama. View Post
