OPENING
DC looks at the person coming into the room. It is Puffs, who is also his father. DC is frozen and stunned as he sees his father in front of him.
Puffs – It is nice to see you Baek Jun-soo….before there were legendary conmen. Sam Ha-chun, have you heard that name JS?
DC says he was famous, he heard he died 20 years ago.
Puffs says the highest level of a conman is faking his death to his own son. Maybe he has his reasons.
DC says that he is really interested in those reasons. Maybe he can tell him when they finish this priject.
Puffs tell him that he should recognize it, players knows players.
DC starts laughing and takes off his glasses. He says he expected a planner was behind this hells door, and it was you. Puffs says he knew a great prosecutor following Tae-woong. Let’s do this togehter. Let’s do the con job together. Us. The prosecutor and the conman. Let’s do a big con job. Us.
Puffs laughs and DC laughs as well (stunned but still laughs).
Later, DC drives off and relives what his father told him about doing a big con job togeTher. He says that his father never changed at all, he showed up 20 years later with another big con job.
PROSECUTORS OFFICE
HR and DC talk. HR is suspicious of DC, does he have a big plan with the conmans. DC is all like, I am not playing a swindler right now, I am JS. Then he says that they should try to catch TW with this job. He will put all of his money together, all of his secret money will come out. They just have to watch it and catch it when all the money goes to one place.
He tellsher that she is good. She says yeah, she is Han Ye-ri (it is an inside joke that means she has good sense but her name in real life is Han Ye-ri, so it is a joke).

Nighttime. DC goes to meet TW and apologizes for it being so late. TW says he will invest in the hell gate. DC says he refused it, it is out of his authority. TW says the law is flexible, whatever it takes , just bring Victor in front of him. If this happens then he will toast champaign.
DC meets with Victor and Puffs. He tells him that TW must have gotten something, he wants to meet Victor. He thinks Victor should go, unless they have another idea. Cut to Victor showing up at TW’s. Victor tells TW that Korea shouldn’t’ be a place where people are threatened with prosecutors.
TW sits and says that he wants to invest $100million into natural gas. They want to increase it to $200 million because Victor has to have a good excuse not to use JP. DC feels something a little strange. Victor says to give him a no investor name check. If he does not like it then he will leave. TW says he will listen to them both.
He has two weeks to increase the money.
Kim tells GS that it is too much. Also, what happened to DC, I can’t catch him. TW basically tells him that they guy that just left is DC pretending to be a prosecutor, they are tricking them.
JS
JS stands up to get his drugs for his heart, but he collapses. HR comes in at that moment and tells him to wake up as he holds his head. JS is put back in bed with all the swindlers plus HR surrounding him.
Later, someone tells JP that they have a huge problem. Victor is going to make a deal with TW. JP gets volcano level angry and passes out.
DC walks the street and thinks back to his life after his appa disappeared. A halmae comes by to look after him. She wants him to eat some food, it isn’t free, she is just saying thank you to you father. DC takes the food out and looks at it. He sees another kid with his appa and stares at them for a moment. Then two men come into his house. They are two policemen. They asks him if anyone is at home and give him a letter. This is a deceased letter. His appa died by suicide. DC reads it and starts crying.
But in the present, DC is walking to meet with his appa. His appa is already eating as he sits to eat with him. Appa smiles and tells DC that TW took the bait. He is fish that is suspicious and runs away easily. You never know when he will run away. DC says yes, until I put him in my basket, he is not my fish. Appa smiles and says that he didn’t forget. DC says he learned his con art before he learned his multiplication tables. Puffs tells him not to be too relaxed until they chop off his head. DC says of course, because of him, he lived without a father.
DC asks Puffs what happened to his hand. Puffs says it was his lesson. The con man’s like is not pretty. When I see my son, I want to give him this lesson. Puffs takes a large drink of soju and then tells DC to tell him when the next step is ready. Puffs leaves and DC chuckles in disbelief.

DC meets with HR and basically tells her that things are moving along too easily, when that happens, you have to suspect it. She thinks things are great, if they solve it quickly then they can solve the next problem.
Lawfully, TW has $2 million, how can he do this kind of big business with that little money? The team thinks TW needs to release all his hidden money to make it work. The bank will be the easiest part. They need to search the bank for money lending.
Montage of one of the prosecutors searching the bank records.
IT and EJ also follow all of TW’s holdings. They think he will sell them quickly and they find out that he is selling his land and his stocks. So they think everything is going to plan.
But one of them thinks something is strange. They check the bonds.
Outside, DR tries to get in. Ko clicks a button and their entire conversation changes to gangsters as they let DR inside. He looks around for a moment and then leaves.
SWINDLERS
The swindlers are at home, they find it hard to believe that TW is really selling his money, but they are happy about it.
Meanwhile, HR is deep in thought about something while at work. She thinks DC changed his opinion about Victor. He was sure Victor was a swindler, but now he is a good businessman? Cut to HR asking her lady detective to follow DC/JS around. The woman says she suspects JS? He doesn’t have any other women, he really loves you. HR is all like, huh? We are not in that kind of relationship. The woman says she will break his legs if he has an affair with another woman. She leaves and HR is left stunned by that conversation.

HR AT HOME
HR makes battering chicken with her mother. It is a touching moment as her mother says that HR even makes pretty batter. She didn’t do much for her without a father, she just studied and became a prosecutor. Umma is emotional as they continue to make nyam nyam chicken. They both happily cry.
TW AND KH
TW meets with KH. He asks her to stop HR.
Cut to HR and DC walking along the street. DC says the power of early education that his father taught him, The heart pumps slowly which means don’t be nervous in whatever situation, just solve the problem.
DC sees an appa and his kid, he watches them for a moment. Then he tells her that he never liked kids day at school when he was little. He hated that day the most because that is the day he recieved his fathers death note. Everyone enjoys their day with their father but I had no one to play with me. HR says she will go somewhere with him on Kids day. He says he already has someone to go with. It is a secret. She says fine, she didnt want to go to a theme park anyway.
HOSPITAL
Puffs meets with JP at the hospital. He introduces himself and says the he is late. He is Sam Ha-chan. JP remembers that TW told him Sa Ha-chan is the famous swindler that killed his daughter. Puffs tells him to listen to him and decide to kill him or let him live afterward. He was lucky he couldn’t’ take that taxi because it had a bomb inside. Did you know that TW married your daughter for the money even though he had his own wife and child.
Flashback of TW telling JP that he wants to marry his daughter. he gives him money and murders a political man? Then he tells him he will win the election.
Puffs tells him that someone figured out that he had a wife and child so he killed his daughter. Puffs shows him the wedding ring that he took off of TW’s hand. That is all JP needs to see because it looks like he believes him.

CHILDREN’S DAY
DC meets with Puffs on Children’s day. Puffs tells him that it doesn’t matter how many hands he has. His other hand is a big hand. He can catch Brown Bear with it and he can also protect DC with it. DC thanks him for his words. Cut to the detective following JS as HR asked. She shows the photos to HR later and says she told her there was no other woman. HR tells her this isn’t like that. Then she wonders if this man is Puffs halabogi.
Puffs meets with the old man that he gave his business too. He gave him everything for free, how can he repay him? Puffs just tells him to live well. HR’s Mom comes up at that moment and says he is hard to recognize looking so sharp. Are you going far away? Puffs says he is going very far away.
Cut to TW calling DC. He tells him that he should come for the deal. They should break the champaign together. It will be a good place with good people. DC doesn’t’ want to, but he agrees. HR thinks it is good, they can wire tap it. DC is suspicious though.
HR walks through what will happen. They will basically arrest TW after he signs the deal and all the money will go to the government (she even imagines that DC steals some of the money). She tells him not to even dream about it. Then she asks him about Victor. DC says he cooperated with them as a business man so they should let him go. But HR thinks DC is holding something back. Doesn’t he have something else to tell her?
DC, Puffs, and Victor all meet. DC tells Victor that he will arrest him also just so TW doesn’t’ suspect him. They all tell each other good job.
TW
Meanwhile, TW plays Wolfgang Amadeus on a record. He says his music reminds him of someone dying painfully, lets start the party.

PROSECUTORS
HR tells the Chef that something doesn’t feel right. TW sold everything, but where is the money? Did you see the no name bond? We saw him withdraw all the money, but we didn’t see him convert it into bonds. Perhaps this isn’t a one day job. Do you know someone at the FIU? Cut to HR and the Chief hustling to look through something with some other people.
SWINDLERS
SD tells the swindlers to rescue him. They are so annoyed but they all walk to the hospital. But Bong feels something and thinks they came there empty handed, he should buy something. Bong tells them to go downstairs to buy apple mango juice. IT guy kind of senses it too. Bong goes to the room, SD is waiting there with him with all of his thugs.
Bong jumps off the balcony to a landing. He might have broken his arm, but he is okay. He calls his people and tells them that it is a trap.
PROSECUTORS
HR is still working hard. DC tells her to tell him if there is anything suspicious.
Cut to DC at the meeting. TW isn’t there yet. Victor is there. Kim calls Victor and says to change the location. DC wants to know what that means. Victor tells him that they want to change the location, but nothing should happen. After this deal, you should get together with your appa.
They leave. DC tells HR that the location is changed to Incheon. He will go there first, but if they see something suspicious then let him know. Right after they get off the phone, they see something suspicious. There is a company that is famous for hiding money. Simon Jo is the owner of all the money that went into the company (?).
Elsewhere, we see the swindlers all united, they know that SD betrayed them.
At the new location, they have to give up their cell phones. This location is also a grungy warehouse. TW is there, he apologizes and says that JS worked hard for this deal.
HR realizes that this is a trap.
TW and team start to do the deal. DC feels that something is wrong.
HR drives like crazy to get to the location.

The swindler team thinks that TW wants to trap them all at one time.
At the deal, TW wants to toast to champagne. He pours them both a drink and toasts to their cups that are both still on the table. Then he tells them that this was a big switch, Sa – Do – Chan. TW breaks his glass on the floor and a lot of thugs comes out. He laughs and says that TW tried to trap him, that was good. He tricked him at least a little bit.
DC asks him what he is talking about, it is too much of a joke. TW says, joke? You affected me a lot, you want to get everything from me using Victor. that was your plan. You wanted to get your father revenge from 20 years ago that much? DC still says he is JS. But TW doesn’t’ believe it. He tells DC that he sent JS to him. DC still says that he is Baek Joon-su prosecutor and TW is too rude to him.
TW yells, he knows that DC and JS are on the same side! He wont’ let Prosecutor Baek go either. Can you show me the burn mark one more time?
DC starts to fight them all off.
HR is driving like crazy to get there, she says for DC to pick up the phone.
But DC is busy fighting off all the thugs. he gets clipped and falls. TW jokes that he will send him to his dead father, he wants to meet him too, but he can’t. But then a huge tractor comes in. it is Puffs driving it. He tries to get the thugs back for as long a possible by covering his son to protect him. Then he hops out and starts beating up all the thugs. But the thugs get the upper hand and start to beat him with bats. It is not a good situation.
HR thinks something is going on, this is a trap.
The thugs throw Puffs in front of TW. TW says he feels like he is looking at a ghost. Did he plan hells gate? Puffs said he did, it was his present to him to destroy him. A hells gate for a devil.
Puffs starts to get beaten a lot by all the thugs. DC hears it and tells them not to beat him! he is still alive though. The thugs sit him up. TW says that Puffs prepared this for a long long time, but what should they do, TW caught him and not the other way around. TW starts strangling him to death. DC screams for them to stop from under the excavator.
Police sirens sound. DC calls over here, over here! The detective that worked with Puffs shows up and has them release DC. DC struggles to get to his father. Puffs is still kind of alive. He holds his sons hand and tells him that he finally called his hand before he died. DC says he is not dying! Puffs says that he was so happy to see him again, he is sad that they don’t get together, he is a big sinner so he will go to hell. We shouldn’t see each other there. Puffs laughs, jashik, your heart still pumps fast. A swindlers heart should beat slowly.
HR finally gets to the location. She sees DC talking to his father for his last moments. Puffs tells DC not to live like him. You only have one life. The biggest swindling in the world is getting someones heart perfectly. You should live like that, have a normal life with a woman.
DC says, okay, okay, don’t die!
Puffs – Son, I am sorry….because of my sin….you…
He touches DC’s face and dies.
DC screams over his father.
