Sky high ratings for Dr. Romantic 2 at 18% in the first week!

Wow! Talk about getting your show off to a flying start. Not only did Dr. Romantic 2 premier to high ratings of 14.9% for their premier episode on Monday. They managed to increase that substantially to 18.5% THE NEXT DAY!

Y’all, come on, the very next day they increased their ratings by almost 4 points and had a peak viewership of 22.1%. That is insane. That is basically what When the Camellia Blooms took all 40 episodes to do and they were the highest rated show of 2019. I mean, I knew that people were looking forward to Dr. Romantic 2, I just did not realize how much people were looking forward to it.

I for one really enjoyed the first episode. It gave me all the intrigue of this wacky doctor from the countryside coupled with all the curiosity of what happened in the last season. The only thing is, I don’t really know what backstory is from the last season and what backstory happened in-between seasons.

For instance, was that bus accident in the last season or is that something created for this season? I feel like that is something concocted for this season to give our doctor a bit of a disadvantage while showing us the pettiness and envy of Dr. Park Min-kook.

If anyone knows, then let us know! Also, who else is enjoying this show while simultaneously shaking your head in disbelief that a squeamish surgeon can exist?
