The stress keeps building this episode as Jung-sun tries to live in a world where her employee and her husband are cheating right in front of her face and she can’t really say anything about it.
At the beginning of the episode, Jung-sun calls Yuri to meet up right quick and slaps a B across the face for putting that text message crack in her and her husbands relationship.
It was supposed to be a meeting between only the two of them, but Sung-joon shows up and protects Yuri, though he also gets a slap for his troubles.
At work, Jung-sun has to continue working along side Yuri and going to meetings with her amidst their VIP team facing all sorts of issues. The biggest issue being that the VP is starting to remove their responsibilities and he has created a new VIP team called Prestige who will handle the top 1-99 VIPs and will be run by Yuri.
Sung-joon fights back in her own way and takes a proposal to the CEO noona to start a Black level VIP team. This team will cater to the elite of the Elite in all of Korea, not just their department store. The CEO loves this idea which will combine the Prestige team (which is handled by the marketing department and run by Yuri) and the VIP team which is their own department and is run by Jung-sun.
Sung-joon will be the leader of this super Black Team. That is how the episode ended. But there was lots of drama to be had. For one. Sung-joon and Yuri were locked on a rooftop together in the rain at a restaurant. When they were finally rescued, Sung-joon was the first person out and had to make a decision to go to either his wife with the umbrella or his mistress.
His foot chose his mistress as he started to walk in that direction. But he was partially saved by Sang-woo and Jin-ho hurrying out with their own umbrellas to take Jung-sun and Yuri back inside the building.
There was also this super awkward couples meeting that the company has every year that talks about how to be a good spouse. The instructor asked Jung-sun if he can tell everything to his wife and he did not respond at all. So the instruction was all like, um…okay, let’s end the talk right here.
In the background of this scene was the VP’s wife who is having all kinds of fun watching the Yuri, Jung-sun, Sung-joon tortilla unfold. She is clearly on Jung-sun’s side, though she has to be nice and respectful to Yuri now that Yuri is the official heir. Ah, I love the VP’s wife now. She is so cheeky!
In a side story, we get further confirmation and Mina and her husband’s marriage is stronger than ever as she has to come clean that she was the one that recorded the video. Director Bae ended up getting fired over all of this and Mina wonders if she should go on ahead and quit too. Her husband tells her not to and even buys her flats to wear to work.
Hyun-ah is a boss as always. I really hope she gets promoted. She started to get a bit closer to Jin-ho this episode, through a lovely assist by Ji-young who pulled the two to a drinking place together and then slid on out on the sly.
In the end, it looks like this is a for real battle with the strengths between the Prestige team and the VIP team for the success of the new Black Society Team. The strength on both sides is equal now that Sung-jun is about to be the CEO’s person and Sung-joon is the VPs person.
But the difference is that Jung-sun, Hyun-ah, and Sang-woo were all raised rich, so they know what rich people want. Yuri, Sung-joon and the other marketing team members were not raised rich, so they might not know what the VIP’s would want in a Black Society membership. Oh, I’m so excited to see how this will shake out!
The preview is below I cannot wait until tomorrow!
