This weeks premieres completely snuck up on me! Today we have two shows premiering, About Time and Miss Hammurabi. About time is a fantasy love story that I have been looking forward to. It is almost fully pre-produced and will air today, May 21.
PREMISE
About Time is the story of a girl who can see peoples time clocks. One day she sees that her time clock is running out, but being next to a certain man somehow extends it. So you know she wants to spend all her time around him.
MAIN CHARACTERS
Lee Sung-kyung (이성경) plays Choi Michaela
31, Musical Actress, can read the remainder of peoples lives
“I don’t know why it is you, but to me, Lee Do-ha is my everything, my hope and my savior, so don’t leave please.”
When she was 7, a car hit her grandmother and she started to see the lifetime clocks. The clocks on halmoni’s hand counted down the seconds until she died. After that, MS could see the life span clock of every person on different parts of their bodies, cheek, arms, leg, forehead. After accepting this new life, her life is 180 degrees different. It is her secret alone. She finds her own life span clock on her wrist. She didn’t want to see it, but she saw it and she knows she can’t change it. But this man Lee Do-ha came into her life and changed it in unexpected ways.
Lee Sang-yoon (이상윤) plays Lee Do-ha
33, MK Cultural Company president. A guy who is associated with Michaela with good fate or bad fate.
“I don’t let other people control my fate.”
Third son of MK Group. He has a spiky personality. He is pathologically suspecting, pathologically clean, pathologically standoffish to women. He likes to sue people. He collects all the phobias related to anxiety disporder. But he is mostly this way because of his first love. Now he only believes in arranged marriages. He picked SB as the perfect person for an arranged marriage. But then MC shows up and shakes his life.
Han Seung-yeon (한승연) plays Jeon Sung-hee
31, Assistant Director PD for Musicals, Best friend to Michaela
“That little guy, I am your noona’s friend. You say too much to noona!”
Jeon Sung-hee is Michaela’s college friend. She is an assistant PD who has experienced all the crazy PD’s. She had the chance to be the main PD, but the work was cancelled; that is when she thought about changing her job, but she became PD Choi’s assistant director instead. Now, she just has to work hard in this job, but Jae-yoo gives her too many directions which makes her angry. On top of this, she tried to refuse Michaela’s brother’s love. So her business, love life, and friendship are all in trouble.
Im Se-mi (임세미) plays Bae Soo-bong
32, MJ Magazine Director
“She has everything except love. If you want to deal with me then just bring me what I want, something like love.”
She is Media chaebol MJBC’s only daughter. In school, everyone mocked her because of her name because Soo bong is very old fashioned, so she decided to live with her English name Beth. No one can call her Soo-bong, including her friends. She is rich, graceful, and is very attractive to everyone. Her motto in life is to not think about others and just do what she want to. She is an honest and direct person though some would say she is too honest and too direct. She is the same way in her love life. However, three years ago she saw Do-han and fell in love with him right away. She used all her connections to create an arranged marriage with him, but he tells her that he will do everything with her accept love. She believed that until day when Do-ha looked at another woman.
