I have to say, I don’t know what these ladies and gentlemen were thinking when they put their outfits together for this press conference. The ladies all look gorgeous of course, but I am left scratching my head otherwise. Now that I have seen the show, I believe they dressed to character possibly? I can see it because each one looks very different: sexy, elegant, conservative, and fiery. However, it is as if they dressed themselves to character after reading their character description instead of a stylist dressing them to character and having them all match each other for a gorgeous overall photo.
Looking at these photos makes me kind of imagine it as if I were trying to look casually fabulous as I go out with friends verses Karla Welch dressing us all to look casually fabulous for Instagramable images. The men are the same in these photos by the way. The overall photos just don’t mesh with everyone together. It is more like they just pulled a bunch of people off the street who were all going to different locations and made them all pose for a photo together.
I added a few photos to the bottom of how the main group looks in the actual drama, which is overall much better. You can still see their different personalities, but the overall image looks so much more cohesive. I think that shows the strength of a good set designer and stylist. If things are off then it is glaring, but if it all goes then it isn’t noticeable.
But that is all beside the point, these people are all amazingly talented and are absolutely killing it in Mistress, so I want to give them a bit more shine on here. The first two episodes were really amazingly and unexpectedly good. I wish I posted way more about Children of a Lesser God while it aired, so I am not going to make that same mistake with Mistress. Hopefully it stays engaging throughout it’s run.
Mistress airs Saturday and Sunday on OCN at 22:20 Seoul time.
