Poster and Teaser for JTBC’s Upcoming Drama Sketch

Sketch Kdrama Poster starring Rain
Soompi
The first teaser trailer for Sketch (스케치) was aired at the end of Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food today and it looks amazing. Sketch is an action drama written by Kang Hyun-sung (강현성) who also wrote the movie The King’s Case Note and the drama Hidden Identity. It is directed by Lim Tae-woo (임태우) who directed Steal Heart and The Duo.

Sketch is a starring vehicle for Rain (비) and a cast of other actors including Lee Sun-bin (이선빈) and Lee Dong-gun (이동건) among others. There isn’t a lot of information about it online, but mostly because I don’t think the casting was even finished until recently. Rain was the only person attached to the show for the longest. But now that they finalized the cast of main’s, they have gotten to some actual shooting.

The teaser captured my attention but it is only a teaser, so it doesn’t give us a lot of what is going on in the plot, but the music and the atmosphere just got my blood going. I wasn’t thinking about this show too much before seeing the teaser, but now I am thinking about it so much that I had to write a post about it.

The teaser starts off with the pages of a sketch book turning. The pages are all empty. A woman is sitting at the desk, in an empty room, a pen is in the sketch book. She starts sketching until every page is covered. A drop of blood splashes onto one of the pages and we are sent on a quick rapid fire sequence of events that happen in this drama including an explosion and a body falling into water. The blood trickles off the page and the woman’s eyes look up.

It gave me goosebumps y’all. This trailer was way better than the Suits trailer. I have high hopes for Sketch because it is a jtbc drama (Misty, Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food, My Wife is Having an Affair This Week) and all the jtbc dramas I have seen, always delivered.

Sketch replaces Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food. It is set to air May 25th at 23:00 on jtbc.

Hoping rain all the best for his upcoming drama but I for sure can say just by looking at the teaser the drama looks really interesting.
