Nevertheless: Should Na-bi Pick Potato Boy or Butterfly Boy? (POLL)

Nevertheless has been the talk of the town since it started airing on Netflix in June. The drama is adapted from a webtoon of the same name, and stars Han So-hee (100 Days My Prince, World of the Married) and Song Kang (Love Alarm, Sweet Home). Han So-hee plays Na-bi, a college senior who just got out of a toxic relationship. As a result, she’s wary of love and doesn’t believe in things like destiny. She’s content spending most days sculpting her final art school project.

Enter Park Jae-eon (Song Kang) a younger art student with a butterfly tattoo on his neck. He’s gorgeous, charming, and makes Na-bi feel tiny versions of her namesake in her stomach. The problem? He doesn’t do relationships.

From the first episode, Nevertheless has sparked some serious conversations about gaslighting, manipulation, and being attracted to people we know aren’t good for us. They’re heavier than typical K-Drama topics, because Nevertheless is grounded in reality, and in reality those things happen. In addition to the aforementioned themes, the drama explores the spoken and unspoken rules of casual relationships. The director also uses Han So-hee and Song Kang’s incredible chemistry to push the envelope when it comes to showcasing intimacy.

With just one episode left, everyone is stressed and buzzing about what Na-bi’s final decision will be. Will she choose Jae-eon or Do-hyuk; the sweet second lead and childhood friend?

There are also fans who are Team Nabi Staying Single, because they believe she’s not ready for a relationship after this emotional rollercoaster ride. So, which team are you on? Vote below while we wait for the finale to air this Saturday, August 21st. The polls will close the following Friday on August 27th at 11:59 PM EST and the results will be revealed Monday, August 30th. This will give people plenty of time to vote, and we can discuss whether we think Na-bi made the right choice or not.
