Mistress Behind the Scene’s Script Reading

I was amazingly impressed with OCN’s newest show, Mistress. It blew my mind in the best way possible and has me itching to get to next week. The first two episodes of this drama were so amazingly good in a very unexpected way. So please indulge me a rewind as I find all the pre-premier information and publish it here, starting with the script reading.

For whatever reason, “Lifetime Movie” always popped into my head when I thought of Mistress which basically means that I thought this show would be cheesy. I blame it on the US TV version that had a very Lifetime look in the promotional images. I never watched the actual show though, so I can’t comment on the overall quality.

But this show is nothing even remotely related to cheesy. It is clean, quite similar to Suits, but it has a horror story vibe to it that kind of feels a lot like Hannibal with it’s icky creepiness, but without all the blood. I recommend giving it a watch. It is NC19 though, so if you don’t like a lot of coitus on your screen then I suggest bowing out because Mistress makes Misty’s NC19 rating look very out of place. Viewer discretion is advised.
