Start-Up ended 2020 with one of the biggest ship wars I’ve seen in years, and True Beauty started 2021 with another one! By mid-February, I thought it was safe. I watched my fellow fangirls dig through the wreckage of war, and pick themselves back up. Then Love Alarm 2 premiered earlier this month, and sent the internet spiraling once more.
Everywhere I looked, it was Hye-young vs. Sun-oh and Sun-oh vs. Hye-young. So naturally, I thought: why not do a poll? Now that most of you have finished binging the drama and voting, it’s time to reveal the results! And…
…most of you thought Jojo should’ve ended up with SUN-OH!
The poll garnered 117 votes, and 62 of them were for Sun-oh. It was a really close race, because 55 people voted for Hye-young. That’s only a 7-person difference, which is way closer than our Start-Up poll. (Keep in mind that our Start-Up poll eventually grew to have 757 votes, with 74.64% of people voting for Ji-pyeong. That’s 565 people!)
So, there you have it! The Drama Milk community has spoken, and they have said, “Sun-oh”! But even though Sun-oh couldn’t win Jojo’s heart in Love Alarm 2, there’ll be plenty of opportunities to see Song Kang’s characters get picked. His career is really taking off, and he’s in a new drama called Navillera. The drama is about friendship and ballet, but maybe there’ll be a nice ballerina ready to leap into his character’s arms.
