I am a little distracted by the long hair framing Yang Se-jong’s face and can only imagine that this is his everyday look for the new Kdrama My Country set to premier this Friday (finally!).
I am all over this show, for one, because my Chuno beau Jang Hyuk, who had me screaming Dae-gil-a-a-a-a-a-a for years, is in it; and for two, it just looks epic and amazing. I mean, did you see their last ink drenched poster?
My Country is set amidst the backdrop of how the Joseon dynasty was founded, but it is truly the story of two best friends who part ways based on what they think is best for Korea. There will be pain, there will be heartache, and there will be blood all around with great acting thrown in because Yang Se-jong, Jang Hyuk, and Woo Do-hwan are great. I am actually not familiar with Seol Hyun, but I welcome getting to know her through this roll.
My Country filming began in March of 2019, it is premiering this Friday, October 4th, at 23:00 and will air Friday’s and Saturdays on JTBC.
