We are at the final two episodes! It has been a ton of fun trying to guess what is going to happen, but now it is time to find out exactly what is going to happen!

If our website starts to load wonky then we will post recap updates in parts over on our YouTube channel community page. They only allow a 1500 character limit so it might be a lot of posts. Also, if things load slowly we found that Google Chrome worked the best last week to load the site. Hopefully everything loads smooth and cozy, though. 😉

MR. QUEEN EP 19 KDRAMA – PART 1

So Yong runs away from Byong In all the way to the cliff. She is cornered. He grabs her by the neck and pushes her to the ledge.

She is dangling precariously off of it.

BI – Who are you? What did you do to So Yong?

Q – Let me go!

BI – If you don’t want to die, tell me

Q – I did not do anything! When I opened my eyes I was in her body

BI – Where is the real So Yong!

Q – I don’t know! I don’t know if she is alive or dead!

BI – I will kill you

He starts to choke her. But he remembers the So Yong he knows and throws her to the ground. Then he puts out a hand to help her up. She doesn’t take it and gasps for air.

BI – How long haven’t you been So Yong?

Q – Since I woke up from the lake.

BI – You said you knew everything from So Yong

Q – I know her memories all of a sudden

The friend comes and says, I found you. Byong In picks up his sword and steps between So Yong and the friend to protect her. He tells her to stand up if she doesn’t want to die there and puts his hand to her again. He tells her to hold his hand if she wants to run away. She asks what he is doing. he says, if you have the memory then you still have So Yong in you. You have to stay alive.

She takes his hand. He starts to walk away with her. The friend tells him not to do this. Byong In says he does not want to hurt him, step aside. The friend yells, you are cocky until the end! Then he starts to fight him.

Byong In kicks him away and slices his leg. The friend yells that they need to follow his order from now on. Get them!

So Yong and Byong In run away!

They get to the trees again, but the masked guy jumps in front of them looking amazingly cool and scary. He has on a hoodie and mask.

The fight starts! Byong In tries to fight and protect So Yong at the same time so it is pretty cool. But Byong In gets stabbed. So Yong throws a rock at the masked eunuch and pulls Byong In away.

The masked eunuch’s mask falls off. But he keeps running after them.  He follows Byong Ins blood trail.

Byong In can’t really run anymore so he gives So Yong a letter. She asks what it is. He says it is the list of people that are involved in a coup. Save yourself with this. Do you remember when we played hide and seek? I will count to ten and run away. 

She says, go with me! He tells her that he is following her.

She tries to remove the blood marks. Byong In says that won’t work. Just run away and save So Yong. Hurry.

The eunuch shows up so Byong In has to fight him again. He reminds So Yong that he told her to count to ten. Then he takes off and starts to fight the eunuch.

So Yong runs away.

Byong In keeps fighting the eunuch. He asks who sent him. The eunuch says, of course it was your father.

Byong In’s sword breaks. The eunuch stabs him right in the belly.

So Yong counts to ten and looks back. She sees Byong In fall. He looks at her and whispers, I told you not to look back.

Then the friends army shows up and yells, follow the Queen! They all take off.

Byong In thinks about walking with So Yong in the market. He is walking behind her. She tells him to walk beside her. She turns around to talk to him. He tells her to look in front of her, then she trips so he hurries and catches her.

In the present, he mutters, I always looked at you and saw the person you don’t even see. Why didn’t I notice?

He reaches a hand to the sky and dies.

So Yong keeps running away. She manages to hide behind a big tree where they don’t see her. But the eunuch sees the tree and walks up to it. However, she is not behind the tree he goes to, she is behind the next one.

Night falls. So Yong starts to walk off. She holds the coup letter in her hands. She opens it and sees everyone’s fingerprints on it in a circle. But she doesn’t know what she can do with that and crumples it frustrated. She yells that she doesn’t know what to do and it is all messed up. Whatever she tries, she still can’t do it. She falls to her knees.

Someone with a torch comes walking up. So Yong mutters, yes, just arrest me. It is all over. But the person removes his mask. It is Chol Jong!

TITLE: THE MAN THAT CAME BACK FROM HELL

He knees and hugs her and says Queen! You are alive! That is good, that is really good!

she starts to cry. He tells her it is okay, you are alive so it is okay.

She says everyone is dead. Choi, Hong Yeon, and Byong In all died.

Chol Jong asks, Byong In died? The Queen says he died because of her. He tells her to calm down. She keeps crying. Chol Jong tells her that Hon Yong and Choi are all fine.

He takes her to their campsite where she sees Yeon and hugs her. She also finds out that Choi is fine. They both go see if Choi is fine. She has a bandage around her waste. Choi says she isn’t dying. She was lucky.

We see a flashback of her slipping a tiny bit so the sword does not go into her waste deeply.

They all happily reunite. Choi says they all went out to find her but finally the King is the one to find her. She looks at the King and the maids and Queen hug.

INSIDE

Later on, the King removes the Queens jacket to see her wound and tells her that he has to clean it. They start to talk.

King – How did you come all the way, pregnant?

Q – I left to welcome you

K – You always surprised me

Q – I had to do it because without you in the palace, it is like lights out. Everywhere is dark. Lights out is…

K – I know what you mean…I was the same. I missed you. My heart hurt more than my wounded body.

He lightly touches her face

K – I will never leave you alone again. I am sorry.

He leans in and kisses her softly.

JWA GUN

The eunuch goes all the way back to the palace. Jwa Gun asks if he is wounded a lot? The eunuch says he is fine so long as he has the drug. Jwa Gun gives him the drug and asks if he knows who attacked them? The eunuch says he saw familiar faces.

Cut to the mountain. The friend and the red guards run along the mountain. But they are ambushed by the peasant Army. The eunuch followed them and saw this happening. He sees Chol Jong as part of the group even though he is wearing a mask. He tells this to Jwa Gun.

In the town, Hwa Jin puts up a post saying that the King is not dead. But she puts it up in secret and is stopped by two guards. They ask why she is walking alone. Hwa Jin tells them that she is ex concubine Cho. She cannot show her face to anyone so she wanted to have some fresh air when no one is around.

The guards tells her to go back since it is a dangerous time. She says okay and leaves. But she doesn’t go home, she keeps putting up a post saying that the King is not dead. The Greedy Kim family tried to kill the King. But the King is still alive. How dare they try and put up a new King?

SO YONG’S FATHER

The father sits up in bed, One of his servants shows him the post saying that the King is not dead. He thinks So Yong did not leave the palace on pregnancy leave then.

One of the Kim family meets with the friend and tells him that the father new that Byong In would betray him. He does not want you to tell anyone that Byong In is dead. The friend says yes father. Ah, so that’s his dad. The father tells the friend that he is in a direct line with Jwa Gun now. You need to do something else to get the Queen.

KITCHEN

The cooks talk about how the chef liked the Queen so much and how he is like this now because he liked the Queen. The chef is drinking alone in his spot. He is sad that the King died. He sees Choi come up to him. (this might be a flashback?) They talk about how they are each others comfort in this time when the King is dead and the Queen is in pain about it.

This is when Choi told the chef – I like you, I love you, I can’t express it with my position so you should find a good person to share your loneliness. She walks out.

In the present, the chef keeps drinking and wipes his eyes with the tie that Choi gave him. The eunuch comes up and asks why the chef is ruining the food? What is happening? A cook comes and tells about the messages they hear on the street. But the eunuch quiets him and says it was the East Study cult to do it! Of course it is them!

But the chef tells the cook to tell him. So the cook whispers it to the chef. The cook mutters, the time has come. He hands his cooking hat to his first cook and says he can do it now. He leaves and it looks like quits.

NOBLES

In town, the nobles meet and discuss the signs that are all in the city. They think it should not be important. What they need to worry about now is the coup letter with their names on it. They think it is strange that they do not see Byong In anymore.

Different nobles talk in another room. They think it is strange that the Queen left to prepare for birth and that the King dies and that Byong In is gone. What is going on…Byong in will use that letter to slash the Kim family.

So these nobles think that Byong In must be betraying the Kim family for the King.

VILLAGE

The King and Queen walk around the campsite. She ties the scarf she made for him around his neck. He thanks her for her love and jokes that she is cold because he isn’t next to her. Then they see the peasant people exercising. They are doing the workout that the Queen helped the King make. Though they do not think he is the King. They think he is a rich person who does not like the corruption.

The Queen thinks these are not enough people, where are the rest of them? 

The man who rescued the King tells them that they are all separate right now to stay safe. they will get together when they have the coup. The Queen asks if he is the leader of the group? She shakes his hand and ays it is nice to see him. You look like a leader with this wound on your eye. Nice to meet you.

He says he is only the boss right now. If he dies then the next person will become the boss. He is the head. he nods to another person. Then he says he heard about her and Damyang. The Queen asks is he? The King says yes, he is Dam yangs father that we were looking for.

the man says without Dam yang, he would already be dead. I wanted to kill the King as soon as I saw him because he ruined the country like this. It looks like the king punched him in the cheek to get away from him when he tried to attack him with the cleaver. It looks like he might have mentioned Dam yang or that he was the King or something like that so the man didn’t kill him. This is implied though.

The Queen keeps asking about the army. The King explains that they are hunter gatherers, they know everything about he mountain so the soldiers cannot win.

The Queen asks if they caught the man with the ddokebi mask? He tried to kill me, but Byong In died saving me from him. The King tells her that the masked man is Jwa Gun’s man. That means Jwa Gun is back.

Song Joong-ki’s last drama was Arthdal Chronicles which was pretty epic and enjoyable for me. So Vincenzo should be a big one (and hopefully a good one!).
