Jung Ryeo Won for GQ Magazine

Wok of Love premiered today, so to highlight the event I thought we would post one of the stars recent photo shoots in GQ magazine. I love the photos here, they have a wonderful mix of black & white to color images against a simple backdrop. It is almost as if they were taken impromptu in a pop up studio at an abandoned warehouse.

Jung Ryeo-won (정려원) definitely has her own sense of style that is one part hard and edgy and another part quirky. She seems to be conscious and confident of her image as well because I don’t see it changing, it is also further illustrated when she curates her own look. For instance, she brought her own items to this photo shoot, the black sunglasses and the gold necklace are from her own closet.

Several of the other pieces are from the stylists collection, such as the bunny ear headpiece in the first image. I wish they told us where those were from, but I guess that would violate the ad placement agreement? Or maybe the stylist doesn’t even remember where she got it from. The other items Ryeo-won wears are from, White-off, Burberry, and accessories that are a collaboration between Andersson Bell and Lee Yunmi. I love those scarf earrings from that collaboration and might just get a pair of my own. Though I need to save money right now, not spend it.
