I’ve missed Kim Seon-ho’s dimples ever since Start-Up ended. If you have too, then I’ve got great news: his new drama Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha premiers on Netflix tomorrow! It also stars Shin Min-ah (known for My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho, Oh My Venus, and Chief of Staff) so we’re getting double the dimples!
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha tells the story of a dentist named Yoon Hye-jin (Shin Min-ah). She’s an ambitious perfectionist who ends up running away to the seaside village of Gongjin after a major life hiccup. There she meets Hong Du-sik (Kim Seon-ho), an unemployed man with a heart of gold who’s always helping the villagers. Hilarity is sure to ensue when these polar opposites clash— and maybe some sparks too.
I’m excited about this drama, because I love the “Girl runs away from stressful life and meets laidback guy” trope. It calms my frayed nerves.
The drama is written by Shin Ha-eun, the same screenwriter who penned The Crowned Clown. That was a great drama, so I’m looking forward to seeing how she handles something less intense. Yoo Je-won is directing as well. This will be his second drama with Shin Min-ah, who he previously worked with on Tomorrow With You. He was a busy man this year, and also directed Hi, Bye Mama and the King: Eternal Monarch.
Ahhhhh, I am looking forward to watching this one soooo much!
