2020-2021 has been something else so we are going off on summer vacation to enjoy a lazy June, July, and maybe even August to soak in the nothingness and the everythingness that a laissez-faire summer has to bring! Of course, we will still be watching dramas, so I am looking for some recs! If you watch a good drama (old or new!) and think that we might like it over here, let us know! Current recommendations I have are: Doom at Your Door and Secret Affair, so I plan on checking those out. Have a happy summer everyone!

V,
If you want to get overloaded with Korean romance dramas, here are a few:
1. My Roommate is Gumiho. – I didn’t have much expectation at first but it has grown on me. Hyeri is the soul of this drama. She is hilarious and so much fun to watch. I haven’t watched her other performance but love everything she does in this drama. Kang Han-na is sexy and funny as well. I was worried she would be under utilized in this show but she brings some interesting moments and it looks like she is getting more screen as the show goes on.
2. Voice 4 – I have watched Voice 1, 2 and 3 and I definitely will watch the latest season at some point and time. If the previous seasons were a hint, there will be lots of blood, and crazy murders before the end. It’s definitely not for everyone’s taste. I was surprised that they put it on tvN instead of OCN.

I really want to see My Roommate is a Gumiho! Voice might be too scary for me 😂
Mine, The Smile Has Left Your Eyes, It’s okay that’s love, Chief Kim,
Mother – I really liked this drama because it shows a strong mother daughter relationship and because lee bo-young was the FL.
Taxi Driver.

Love The Smile Has Left Your Eyes and It’s Okay That Love! I don’t think I have seen Chief Kim though. I need to check that one out. I also need to finish Taxi Driver. I stopped around episode 5 or 6, I need to pick it back up!
I agree with “My Roommate is a Gumiho” – Same here, I didn’t expect much either at the start when I clicked to watch it, as I was (still am!) so in love with Seo In Guk and Park Bo Young in “Doom at Your Service”.
I switched to “My Roommate is a Gumiho” while waiting for Doom during the week…. and omo… pleasantly surprised! I think both are a good mix – one is sad beautiful, another is sweet funny – i’m talking about real laughter ha ha ha ha funny! (Unlike Vincenzo’s trying-too-hard cringey (not) funny) Hyeri is so hilarious! Other casts are great too.
The chemistry between Hyeri and Jang Ki Yong is so good – Love watching them both =)

Okay, you have convinced me, I need to click play on both of those.
Mad for Each Other (Netflix) is another good one. I don’t think it got talked a lot of when it was on air. It’s only 13 episodes (30 min each) so you can binge watch easily. I usually don’t like the silly type dramas too much but the ML and FL makes this one works very well.

Oooh, I haven’t heard of Mad for Each Other! And I am in the mood for something extra silly. This could work! Thank you WPB 😘
I can’t believe its already July.
I would want to recommend The Devil Judge and Move to Heaven.

V,
This place has been quiet lately. I was browsing through the comments and glad that you are still reading our comments. Assuming you are buried in work these days.
