Will Heaven help those at home with only the screen to keep them happy because Seo Bok is about to premier and you better believe I am scrounging the internet to find out if it will be streamable. Paging Netflix…Netflix, will you come to the rescue and stream Gong Yoo and Park Bo Gum in their first starring roles together? Pretty please?
Seo Bok is a modern retelling of the Chinese story, Xu Fu. In the original story, Xu Fu was sent by Qin Shi Huang, of the Qin Dynasty, to find the elixir of life. In this retelling, Gong Yoo will play Ki-hun, an ex Intelligence agent who is tasked to protect Seo Bok the first human clone who also holds the secret, i.e. key, to eternal life.
This movie was first offered to Park Bo-gum two years ago, though he decided not to take up the role because he signed on to do the drama Boyfriend. Well, the production must not have been able to find a suitable replacement to match their vision, because they waited for Gummy to finish filming Boyfriend and approached him again for Seo Bok which he agreed to. Can the congregation say, Amen? Because I do not see a better person to play a perfect clone than Park Bo-gum.
