Let’s face it. Men get the better flannel shirts. They come in cooler colors, and the looser “boyfriend” fit makes room for layering underneath.
As an avid flannel wearer during fall and winter, I’m often on the hunt for some good ones. When Start-Up was announced, I thought I’d be jealous of Suzy for getting to work with Nam Joo-hyuk. Instead, I find myself envying his character Do-san’s wardrobe. There are only two episodes out, but he’s already worn a ton of shirts I want to snatch directly from his closet. My favorite is the blue and yellow flannel he wore in episode 2. I love the color combo and the frayed sleeves and hemline. Makes me want to start a grunge band in someone’s garage.
It’s by R13, and you can find it here for $276.50. The original price is a whopping $395.00 (V – good lord!), so get it while it’s on sale.
However, if I want to save some money for that non-existent grunge band, L.L. Bean sells a comfortable-looking doppelgänger for $69.95. It isn’t frayed, but hey, maybe the wild rock star life will get it that way. (V – Ooh, this one looks comfy.)
