Alright y’all, dramaland has some hilarious premises and situations in their mountains, rivers, and valleys already, well Melting Me Softly will fit right on in there nicely with them as a little tree on top of the Um, What hillock. I for one really want to see if they can make this work! Plus, it has Ji Chang-wook in it straight from military release. Combine that with the lovely Won Jin-ah and we have ourselves a show!
Okay, so Melting Me Softly is literally about two people who have to try and keep from melting! Seriously! They were accidentally frozen for 20 years after a botched scientific experiment that was only supposed to keep them frozen for one hour. Well, fast forward 20 years later, all their friends and families have moved on with their lives and are 20 years older wherease these two remain looking the same from when they were frozen. Well, as two people in this situation, they start to bond and live in this crazy new life, the only thing is that they cannot let their body temperatures go above 33 Celcius (which is like 91 Fahrenheit so something is already not right) or they will die.
With the heat wave hitting all over the world and their normal bodies already supposed to be at 98.5F, they have to struggle to keep cool and I’m sure find all sorts of different ways to do that. However, the sparks start to fly between them, raising their body temperatures whenever they are near each other. Can they fall in love before they melt? Y’all, whose with me in telling them to book a ticket to Greenland and live it up? They can visit Korea every winter.
Melting Me Softly is just the kind of quirky show that is in my wheelhouse. Hopefully they live more in the cute quirky side and less in the milky melo side. Though I suspect that the friends and families aging on part will bring a river of tears to the show. But it doesn’t have to, drama!
Melting Me Softly will air sometime this fall on tvN. It is planned to air Saturdays & Sundays at 21:00 KST.
Im just imagining when the time comes for a kissing scene…..do they have to do it in a freezer or somewhere cold? It might get too hot for both of them (and us 😍) it could melt them 😆
