About Time Live Recap Episode 16 Final

I commend everyone who has stuck around this long and I hope some people are still enjoying this show. As for me, it is more of a shaking-my-head watch at this point. But I am still happy we made it to the final episode. Let’s end this.

OPENING
Michaela is back in the room and sees 23 days on her wrist, she is sucking all of his time something serious. He comes back inside and sees her in a state of alarm. They look at each other for a moment. She tells him that her hankerchief got loose so he ties it for her again and tells her that they should get some fresh air.

They go to the grocery store and walk around like a normal couple. He is still happy and asks her what she wants to eat, he will make anything. She says anything is fine, so he tells her that he will make olio olio, he is the most confident with that.

He notices that she is a little off so he holds her hand. They walk again, but they get seperated momentarily by a person walking by with a large cart. He can’t see MC for a moment as the cart passes, but when it passes, she has dissapeared like James Bond.

He looks for her, she is not around at all. She has gotten away, ya’ll.

Michaela turns up at SN’s hospital. She sits outside with SN and tells her that she was too greedy, she shouldn’t have done it, that is why she is getting punished now. I did a bad thing to him until the end. SN has a request for MC.

The scene changes to DC at work. He is talking to PWJ about where MC is. He wants PWJ to send people all over to find her. He knows SH won’t tell him where she is but they should send someone next to her to follow her around.

Cut to SH talking to someone, she tells them that she does not know where MC is, but MC is actually right in front of her. MC tells her that she will go to her mothers country house (or someones country house). SH tells her that she should spend more time with her family. But MC thinks, if she is there then DH will find her again. She asks SH to take care of her mother and Wee-jin. Please visit them and punish WJ if he is not doing well.

SH cries, she wants her to stay, don’t leave. MC tells her, if you cry then we are losing. You forgot this again? Thank you so much, don’t be sick and don’t cry. Be well. I will see you later. I am happy to have a friend like you.

HOME
SH gets all of MC’s things as Umma helps pack up. Umma wonders why MC is going to be there on the weekend, well, she did work hard during the audition and part-time job. SH asks if she has MC’s bank account. Umma says she does, she works now. She also says that she will send MC cosmetics.

When she leaves, WJ gives SH a gift, he got the job! She thinks he should tell his sister this good news. He says he wants to tell her, he wants to tell noona everything. SH starts to yell at him about being childish and that he does not know about his noona right now. She yells that his noona will die soon! So stop talking about all these childish things.

Umma comes back in with the cosmetics, she heard everything. What do you mean Michaela is dying? She pulls her to another room. What do you mean? Is she sick? What happened to her? SH starts crying. Umma asks her why she is crying like that? I am Michelas mother, tell me what happened.

SH says that MC can see something special.

HOSPITAL
DH meets SN and wants to know where MC is. But SN will not tell him, she wants to tell her to leave in whatever way. He yells that he will find her and make her live!

Elsewhere, JY talks to MC over the phone. He tells her that it is not a good time to take a vacation. You shuold find more work. Are you having some trouble? People recieved you well. Is there another problem? A dating problem? JY tells her that he thinks DH is not a good man. She should be an actress that can spread happines to the audience. MC says he is a good guy. But JY tells her that she looks sad when she sees him. A good man does nto make their lover look sad, that is why I worried about you sometimes.

MC asks, you worried about me? Why did you worry about me? JY gets flustered and says he has a good idea for another song, goodbye! Then he wonders, why am I doing this?

HOME
At home, Umma looks at all of MC’s things and starts to put two and two together. She thinks back to her daughter always being in a hurry with all her jobs and how she was upset at her for spending all that money. She remembers all the times she worried about her mother and told her she needed to grow up. How else can she survive?

Umma starts crying as she thinks about it all.

Umma meets with MC at the summer house. She tells her that she remembered when she was little she would say that she saw a weird clock on people. She thought it was nothing. But then one day you ate in a hurry and couldn’t sleep. I thought it was because of the money, I should have known back then. I am a bad umma. She starts to cry.

MC tells her Umma not to cry. Umma says she is a bad umma and should cry, how scared you must have been. Umma is really sorry Michaela.

MC says she is okay, without her, you and Eugene and appa, just promise me you will live fine. That is enough for me. But Umma says she can’t live without her. MC stands and gives her umma a hug. She tells her that she will never make her like that, she will protect her with everything. She does not like this.

Then we cut to Umma talking to DC in his office. He tells her that MC needs him, he should be next to her right now. Umma tells him to save her MC. You are rich and can do a lot more than me. We can check to see if she is okay int he hospital. If that does not work, then just take my Michaela somewhere safe, no one knows. I know it sounds strange, but I will beg you like this. Please save my Michaela.

DH tells her not to worry, he will save her.

Cut to Michaela walking in a market. She buys some food from an ajumma and sees a cute couple walking together. This makes her think about DH and their happy date. She looks at her time, she has 17 days left. But she tries to shake it all off and calls someone to tell the that she bought everything. She will be right there.

She crosses the street, but accidentally bumps someone and all her stuff falls. She notices her clock, all of a d=sudden it is counting by years. It adds one year, then two years, then three years. It gets all the way to 10 years, then 11 years.

She starts freaking out and calls DH, Where are you! Now she has 15 years and 16 years. She asks him where he is at! She is still in the middle of the street.

She spots him, his time is 36 years.

His time continues to fall and her time continues to go up. She has more time than him now. He has 12 and she has 48. He has 6 yeas, he is about to die. She can’t watch so she runs into the street to run away from him. His time is to days now. it is ticking fast. he only has one day.

She yells at him to stop coming! He runs up and grabs her hand. All his time should be gone.

Then a huge truck comes up and hits them both.

MC is still alive as she lays on the ground, he looks at DH. DH opens his eyes and looks at her as well. They flashback to the first time they met at the hospital when he accidentally ran his car into her.

They run through all their moments of falling in love. MC thinks that she was happy to meet him. Where you happy to see me? Every single moment is shared, then DH closes his eyes. MC thinks, finally…I made you die.

MC – What kind of fate were we……

Flashback to MC as a child walking with her grandmother. She wants to know what these flowers are. Grandmother tells her what all the flowers are. They look at the flowers, then MC notices one petal flying in the air, she follows it and runs to grab it. Her granmother looks at her happily, but then she notices a car and runs to save Her granddaughter. Grandma gets hit by the car.

Inside the car is DH and his father. the father gets out. Grandmother asks the father to help them, help my baby. MC sees the time on her grandmother ticking away to zero.

DH looks at all of this in alarm from the car.

Cut to the hospital. MC is crying int he hospital, little DH sees her and walks up to her.

lil’MC – What about my grandmother?

DH starts crying too and holds her hand.

lil’DC – I am sorry…..I’m really sorry.

Then we cut to a little bit into the future from that moment. MC and SH are eating their icecream. She bumps into DH, her icecream falls and she notices her time. His shirt accidentally ripped so he turns and they look at each other. Everyone walks around them.

Back to the present, MC wakes up in a hospital room. She sits up and looks at her time. Then a blinding light comes in.

Cut to MC dancing her heart out in a practice studio. She sings and dances as JY looks at her from the door.

When she is done, JY comes in and tells her that in the play, she liked him alone. You shuldnt show off how well you can dance and sing, you should show your emotions. Your first love is here, you should seduce him. I will give you 30 seconds.

MC walks up to JY and then walks past him to DH. She tells him that she likes DH. She is dating someone recently. So are my emotions okay this time?

MC- I have a date with my boyfriend, so bye bye.

They walk off and JY smiles after them.

CAFE
SB has a blind date. She tells her date that this is a borning date. All you say is yes or no for 2 hours. I understand why you cant date anyone. He tells her that he has a different idea, he never dated so he could see her in this moment Su-bong. She tells him to call her Beth. he calls her B-b-beth. 2 hours after meeting her, he will think this is too impulsive, but he will tell her the truth. I fell in love with you at first sight.

She tells him this is a big problem. Sorry, but I have a different idea from you. He asks if it is because he is only a lawyer. She says that does not matter to her, she does not care about a mans position because hse is already rich. He tells her that he will try his best to fullfill something that she does not have? Love? Happiness? Something like that?

She thinks about it with a stunned face.

HOME
Wj is cooking at home, his mother is also cooking something else. Umma asks if he can taste something. he tells her something about cooking and then tells her that he has to leave. Umma knows that he is looking for SH, she oppossed this relationship. He is too much like her. He looks nice, but he is not a good man inside. i don’t want SH to have a hard time, that is why I do not support this. The son wonders how Umma can worry about sometone else more than her own son?

The bell rings so Umma runs up to get it. It is DH at the door with flowers. MC is with him. Umma says that these flowers are so pretty. MC tells her brother not to give SH a hard time when he meets her. The son grummbles about all the women in that house. he leaves.

Dh and MC stay to eat. DH does not know what they are eating, it seems like it is something to do with L.A. because Umma grew up there.

They sit to eat. Umma tells them to eat more beansprout soup, that is there signature menu. He eats it and says that it tastes good. Very very good, Omonim. The son made the soup, lol. She pulls her own food back so he won’t eat it.

Umma looks at DH lovingly but it makes them all uncomfortable.

Cut to SH and WJ meeting. The brother says that his family only worries about her. SH asys they worry about them, what if they break up after dating? he says he won’t break up with her, where else can he see the person he loves so much. I want to see you forever. The punishment is a kiss.

He puckers up but I don’t think she kisses him long enough? He goes to sit next to her and tells her that it was too weak considering what he suffereed. he kisses her and then picks her up like they are newlyweds. He plops her in bed and kisses her again. they lay in bed and kiss and roll around.

MANSION
DH goes to his house. The sister in law tells him that he can early. He asks her how the foundation is going. She says that Abonim is he one that donated money for his brother. Flashback to DS talking to DH. DH told him that no one ever buys his books so how come he can make a living. The brother said that someone buys a lot of his books sometimes, he has a supporter.

Cut to the family meating for tea at home. DH fills them in on what he is doing. Appa tells him to focus when things are going well. Also, why don’t you bring your girlfriend? Dh says they will come on his brithday. The appa doesn’t seem too happy to see her but he is also not very upset. DH tells him that he will see why she is the one for him when he sees her.

DH and MC meets up at his house and go to meet MC’s father. Her father loves seeing her and she loves seeing him. He tells her that he was so sick because he wantsed to see her. But now he feels good. She tells him that she wanted to see him many many times. But she thought she would get weak in the heart if she saw him. He apologizes, she is suffering a lot because he is like this. When he gets out, their family will live happily. But when will you introduce him to me?

MC says he is her boyfriend. Appa is happy to hear this. DH comes up and introduces himself to Appa.

HOSPITAL
Now we cut to SN. SN is watching MC’s play again. MC walks in and smiles as she sees it. SN asks her where her boyfriend is? MC says he will come later. MC tells her that he is pretty. Are you happy not to see your cloch anymore? MC says she is happy, she suffered a lot, but she had some good times out of it as well, she could comfort someone.

Flashback to all the people she comforted. Then it cuts to her enjoying her life singing and eating and cleaning.

MC – I could live thankfully everyday. maybe the moments I could pass, I could spend happily. Because of the watch. I could meet my Oppa. What you said was right. You told me my gift was from my grandmother. After I saw the clock and it stopped. I met him. The moment I thought I was killing him, I stopped seeing it and he is still next to me. Everything sounds likea miracle, so maybe that is the gift from my grandmother.

SN – Maybe it was a gift. Maybe it is the miracle that your brave love created.

MC asks her where she is looking, are you looking at my time? Ah..this is how people feel. i am really wondering.

SN tells her that she didn’t see it, really she does not see it.

CAR
MC and DH drive away in the car, she thanks him for taking her to his father. He tells her to give him a present. Sleep in my place today. She is all like…..?

HOUSE
MC asks him if they sleep seperate. You sleep in your place and I will sleep in my place. He says he will not knock on the door, he said he won’t.

But then he notices his two friends, PSB and PWJ. they are on the couch. PWJ says that his brother’s blind date did not contact him anymore so he was crying at home and brought him there, it has been two hours. i called you so many times. But your dating is so much. What should I do. Is it really like this?

MC tells them goodbye, have a fun time talking. But DH tells her not to go anywhere and tells him friend to sit and meditate for 10 minutes. the doctor tells him that he has experience, his heart is pumping, he is so nervous now! PWJ tells him to change his job, he does not even take care of himself yet he councils people?

DH sits MC on the bed and tells her that he will take care of them. She tells him to listen to him. DH tells her to just sit there and don’t fall asleep. He happily closes the door. MC looks around her old room and walks up to the duck on the desk. She tells him that it is nice to see him again, shall I hear my voice?

She turns it on and DH’s voice speaks thorugh the duck.

DH – MC….I love you.

Cut to MC sleeping with the duck. DH watches her lovingly until she wakes up the next morning. Her eyes flicker open. He tells her that she needs to wake up, it’s morning. But she tells him that she does not want to wake up because there is a handsome man in front of her. It might be a dream. that is how I felt back then.

In the hospital when she woke up, she could not see her time anymore. It dissapeared. then the door opened with the blinding light. it was DH. He is also in his hospital gown and looking at her.

they say each others names in their head.

Cut back to the room.

MC – I don’t see the clock, but I was worried about what was going on.

DH – Just in case something bad happened because of me. I promised you I would protect you.

They start talking about the secret keeper duck and how they heard what each other said. DH says that duck keeps the secret well. He pulls out a box that has earings in it, he tells her that they look like leaves right? Leaves that never go bad. he puts them in her ears.

DH – I will try my best. My heart, your heart. It will never change and never go bad. I will do my best.

MC – Me too.

They kiss for a peck. But then DH pulls her into a longer and lovelier kiss.

Later, they walk around on a promenade outside.

MC wonders if they would have fallen in love without the clock. Dh says of course, he would have. He wonders if he still makes her time stop or run. I think everything started because of our hearts. the heart that overcame all those time issues. Your heart loved me. MC is all like, isn’t it your heart? DH jokes that he does not like her that much.

He starts to walk backward just like she did and asks her if she is upset. She thinks that she is happy, she is so happy that she wishes time would stop like that.

DH – So, I will try my best, more than now and live my best to make her time pause for a long long long time.

They smiles as he keeps walking backwards. Then he takes her hand and they walk forward together.

It remained absolute nonsense until the end and didn’t even try to make sense of anything.

I wont even mention why SN can see time too and I will assume she missed her chance to live happily with her true love forever and always until they both die because he took her time away all those years ago and it scared her away. Sucks for her.
