Maybe it is just me, but this poster for Psychopath Diary seems lighter than I thought the drama would be. Or did something change in the description that I wasn’t privy to? Do I need to hunt through all the news for this show today? Well, that’s not going to happen, so I’ll just assume that this show might lean comedic or possibly Wes Anderson-esque because that is the tone I am getting from this first poster image. It is all bright colors and bubble gum for a show on a serial killer, amirite?
I mean, I expected at least a little something grim on the poster, right? It could be a little grainy or maybe have just a bit of dirt on the shovel or blood on the knife (or any of the sharp objects), the gun could be smoking, the boots could be covered in mud…you know, something. So, since there is nothing, that kind of makes me think that this might be a light take on serial killers? I mean, it is about a dude with amnesia who thinks he’s a serial killer, so it could go farcical.
We still have a bit of a wait to find out because Psychopath Diary will premier November 20th, on tvN. Hopefully they release a bit more about it so I can decide if I want to watch it or not. If it is a farcical take on serial killers, then yes. A scary take, nope.
