The Best 7 Contemporary-Romantic Korean Dramas to Binge Watch on Netflix
1. Love Alarm (Fantasy-Romance)

Love Alarm revolves around the story of an app that alarms whenever someone within a 10 meter radius of you has romantic feelings for you. Embarrassing!
The app shows you how many people like you, but it does not say who likes you. So don’t go standing with your crush alone somewhere. It is set in high school and centers around three students, one girl and two boys and how this love alarm disrupts their lives.

3. My First, First Love (College Romance)

Everyone loves a good college coming of age story, well step in My First, First Love which is all about falling in love at that young almost adult yet still a kid time in your life.

4. Something in the Rain (Noona Romance)

One of the biggest hits of 2018, Something in the Rain was an internet sensation as we watched the lives of two life long family friends become a heart fluttering couple.
This show is all about that secret first love experience when you realize that you love a person who you have known basically your entire life. It is shot like a film and is quiet at part, but always swoon worthy.
The big issue is that the family brings the drama in this show, especially one person in particular that might drive you crazy, but the couple stays strong to the end.

5. One Spring Night (Noona Romance)

The team from Something in the Rain come back for another love story in One Spring Night. One Spring Night is the story of a librarian (Han Ji-min) who just so happens to fall in love with a pharmacist (Jung Hae-in) who has a kid.
It is a simple love story that is complicated by the dramatic events that led the pharmacist to be a single father at a young age and the librarian’s father’s marriage ambitions for his daughter who is all but engaged to another man who looks great on paper.
But no matter how much they try to quit each other, fate continues to bring them together.

6. Reply 1997 (High School Romance)

Reply 1997 is the drama that kicked off the Reply series (or often called the Answer Me series). This first outing follows a group of friends as they meet at a high school reunion at a bar and relive their old high school days.
It has a mystery in who ends up with who in the future that is fun to watch unfold. Yet you start to root for one over the other early on. I also loved all the 90s nostalgia and the quick episodes.
I also believe this was the first show to skyrocket tvN to the powerhouse it is today as it reached a never before heard of ratings high of 6 or 7% back when cable networks were struggling to break 0.5%.

7. That Winter, The Wind Blows (Contemporary Romance)

This entire show is like looking at a painting come to life. You can honestly just watch for the cinematography alone. Throw in two very beautiful people and it is pure eye candy.
The actual story involves a con artist (Jo In-sung) who makes a very wealthy blind woman (Song Hye-kyo) believe that he is her long lost brother. She has no other family and lives in a huge mansion with all her servants, so no one has proof that he is not telling the truth.
Him keeping this secret in order to pay off very scary loan sharks and their eventual love blossoming is what this show is about.
