6 Dramas Starring Kim Myung-Soo (aka L) That’ll Make You Meow

Are you itchy? Twitchy? Irritable?

If you have these symptoms then you’re experiencing what we like to call – L withdrawal. To get your daily dose of him while waiting for new episodes of Meow: the Secret Boy, check out these 6 dramas.

Angel’s Last Mission: Love

Watch it on: Viki

L plays a literal angel in this drama, so if you want to see him wearing white and having the sweetest relationship with a blind ballerina (played by Shin Hye-sun) then give it a shot.

Ms. Hammurabi

Watch it on: Viki

A courtroom drama that offers social commentary and laughs. And L in suits. Co-stars Go Ara of Reply 1994 fame.

One More Time

(Alternate title: The Day After We Broke Up)

Watch it on: Netflix

Want to see L channel Bill Murray in Groundhog Day? Then stream this drama about a struggling musician who relives the same day over and over in an effort to save the woman he loves.

My Lovely Girl

Watch it on: Viki

If you can get past the weirdness of Rain and f(X)’s Krystal being the main couple, you’ll get a chance to see L rocking blond hair. He’s the second male lead in this story about the owner of an entertainment company falling in love with his dead girlfriend’s sister.

The Emperor: Owner of the Mask

(Alternate title: Ruler: Master of the Mask)

Currently unavailable on major streaming platforms
(But you can purchase it on Amazon)

In L’s only saeguk to date, you’ll get to see him in a darker role as he navigates tricky political waters with Yoo Seung-ho and Kim So-hyun. You’ll need a box of tissues for this drama. And lots of patience. But watching L flex his acting chops and donning traditional Korean garb is kind of worth it.

Shut Up! Flower Boy Band

Currently unavailable on major streaming platforms
(But you can purchase it on Amazon)

This was L’s first big role in South Korea, and one of my favorite dramas. He plays the tsundere guitarist in a rock band in this coming-of-age tale about music, friendship, and loss. He also blesses us with some guyliner.

Plus the drama has a killer soundtrack. If you’d like to know what you’re getting into, or discover other good drama OSTs, check out “Drama Milk’s Recommended OSTs to Get You Through Quarantine”.

These dramas featuring L will treat your withdrawal, and keep you sane for next week’s episodes. Stay safe out there and watch lots of dramas!
